Buffy the Vampire Slayer Ep 10 FULL Reaction

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Ep 10 FULL Reaction

Comments

Honestly, I loved seeing Buffy as a vampire :D I thought she looked gorgeous in even game face. My favorite scene is probably Willow's nightmare because the way the guy goes 'mhm!' so quietly just cracks me up xD

fatalfae

aw, I can't tell you how nice it is to hear that type of feedback, thank you so so much!

Nicholas Crowell

The quality of your reactions are just so great, I appreciate it so much :')

Definitely worthy of a Xander highlight reel, I loved that moment for him!

Nicholas Crowell

Agreed, this episode NAILED the variety of emotions/ genres in an effective, compelling, and concise way

Oh thanks for sharing this. I fear spiders as well...I still remember crying as a kid cause my dad refused to kill this massive one and I couldn't sleep the whole night. I'd like to think happy thoughts about spiders (my fear isn't their fault). If there's a fb group you could suggest I'd be interested. And if that works, cockroaches are next :)

Effie

LOVE LOVE this episode. I watched this show when it first came out when I was 11 and was dealing with issues with my own father at the time so I totally related to this show; divorce, my dad hardly coming to visit, blaming myself, ect. Also, I used to have crippling arachnophobia. I became determined to deal. I started researching and joining fb groups and came across the hobby of jumping spider keeping. Let me tell you, the more I learned about them, the more it helped. This was a year ago, now I own 5 jumping spiders, 6 tarantulas and a velvet spider. Information definitely helps with the fear, if you are interested in overcoming it. =]]

Hey, pro singer or not I appreciate anyone getting into the holiday spirit, haha. S1 has its faults but I do enjoy the Master. For an ancient evil creature of the night, he has a certain charm about him. I'm always hyped for S2 but I'm especially curious to see what you'll make of certain, erm, developments.

Kelley

Sorry, no reactions for those until next week I was behind

Nicholas Crowell

holy damn that singing at the start was unexpected.... XD

Thanks so much! This was a beautiful episode and reaction! :D

I liked the two refences at the end of the episode First the more obvious one to the Wizard of Oz. You were there and you. And the more subtle one to Scoobie Doo. You could almost hear the coach saying "I would have gotten away with it too if not for those meddling kids." lol. But Buffy saying Their are more scary things than you And I'm one of them. Was my fav. And it's true, if you're a vampire or demon, The Slayer is the scariest thing, even if she's not a vampire.

Honestly it's such a minor scene but with all the stigma about doctors and how they lose their drive and don't care about their patients in the end, some that are in it for the family or money etc. The fact that the doctors fear was not being able to practice because of a physical fault was i think a nice little touch to show a doctor that really cares about the patient they are in question about. I think this episode really is what hooked a lot of people. It not only introduces the concept of the episode but delves into the psyche of each character without being obtusely jarring about it. and that as they get older they can keep doing that

Glorie Bluestein

OK, I don’t remember this one but yes what a great concept and a great message about fear. Even with Cordelia (as funny as that was)…we get an insight into her psyche through her fear. Even though she comes across self-assured, her greatest fear is to be mocked/ feel ashamed for who she truly is. I mean maybe if she didn’t care about people she could be a chess master since she is actually smart? - I also knew in my gut that Buffy’s dad would blame her because as you said with families in general, whenever there's any kind of conflict, children tend to blame themselves. But I adored that scene cause SMG is such a fantastic emotional actress. She makes me feel her pain every time. Also the Vampire fear I feel says a lot about how big Buffy's heart is in that as much as being a Slayer can feel like a burden, she wants to help and protect people. Being a Vampire is synonymous with hurting people and that is more unbearable than not having a normal life (although this is also valid). - I agree that the message of fear being magnified by the mind is great and it did remind me of IT, but also Jumanji and Star Wars. Our minds are powerful and I like the message that as challenging as it is, there is power in all of us to affect our reality. - ALSO “Giles is the Mufasa of the Hellmouth” should be a T-Shirt 😂😂 Anyway so glad that you appreciate the show. The “horror”/ the hellmouth is really a metaphor for fear so the show is always exploring this theme. PS: I’m eagerly anticipating S2 but I have a new found appreciation for S1 thanks to these reactions. It’s been a blast :)

Effie

I, too, love the moment when Xander hits the clown. He really faced his fears!

Ashley

Yes, yes, yes Buffy! Can't watch it yet but I'm hyped :)

Effie

Hey, I was wondering if you're still going to be posting The Umbrella Academy, and Hill House reactions for this week?

Anika

YES. My favorite episode of season one. When BtVS shows us it can do drama as well as action, comedy, and horror, even if it never technically happened.
