[Marvel : Spoiling Spider-man] Chapter 286 - 290
Added 2025-04-05 01:00:04 +0000 UTCChapter 286: Spider-Man’s Ambitions
[At school, Jason and Betty were reporting on the recent events in Washington: "Last weekend, Midtown's Academic Decathlon team defeated the strongest team in the country! They won the national championship! And then… they survived death!"]
[The students eagerly described the scene, "There were strange flashing lights! Sally was screaming! Flash was screaming! Everyone was screaming!"]
["There were purple lasers and smoke everywhere! It was intense—like a Bon Jovi concert!"]
[Mr. Harrington looked visibly relieved. "As you all know, we survived, and that’s what matters most! I cannot bear the responsibility of losing a student on a school trip. Not again."]
["Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, thanks to Spider-Man!" Jason and Betty said in unison, giving their thanks.]
["Next news—Spider-Man fever is sweeping the school! How do you show your Spider-spirit?"]
[Walking through the school, Spider-Man—well, Peter Parker—couldn’t hide his delight at seeing students admire his heroic feats.]
[He hurried down the stairs, where Ned spotted him and ran over excitedly. "Bro! Bro! Bro!"]
["How does it feel to become famous overnight, yet no one knows you are the real hero?" Ned grinned.]
["It’s insane! Bro!" Peter replied, grinning from ear to ear.]
[Ned, still buzzing with excitement, asked, "Should we tell anyone else?"]
["No!" Peter immediately shut down the idea.]
["What if I tell someone?" Ned smirked, itching to enjoy the moment of shocking his classmates.]
["No! Man, that is not a good idea!" Peter shook his head. Ned only wanted the thrill of surprising people, but he didn’t realize how much trouble Peter’s exposed identity would bring.]
[Seeing Peter’s firm refusal, Ned sighed and gave in. "Alright, fine. Come on, we’re gonna be late for class!"]
[To his surprise, Peter shook his head. "I’m not going to class."]
[Ned blinked. "Dude, you already got in trouble for missing the decathlon!"]
["Listen, I figured it out! That guy in the flying suit—he stole stuff from the Department of Damage Control! The stuff he stole is being used to make weapons! So I’m going to take him down!"]
[Peter wasn’t thinking like a high school student anymore. He was thinking like a hero. Like a grown-up. He was ready to move beyond school life.]
[Ned tried to talk some sense into him. "But we have a Spanish test!"]
["Ned! I might never come back! Mr. Stark is moving the Avengers north, and… when I take this guy down—"]
[Ned’s eyes widened. "Bro! Are you seriously planning to drop out of high school?!"]
["High school’s holding me back!" Peter declared dramatically, taking a step back—only to turn around and walk straight into the principal, who stood with his hands on his hips, glaring at him. "Parker. My office. NOW!"]
"Hahaha! That ambition didn’t last long!" The first Uncle Ben laughed heartily.
"He got so full of himself, he didn’t even want to go to class anymore!" The first Aunt May sighed, shaking her head. "Arrogance isn’t a good trait, even for a superhero."
"Kids go through that phase," Uncle Ben said, amused. "They want to prove themselves. Peter here isn’t trying to show off to classmates—he’s trying to impress Tony Stark."
He leaned back. "Reality will hit him soon enough. The real world always humbles you. Let’s just hope it’s not too painful of a lesson."
"But what if he makes a mistake and regrets it?" Aunt May asked, concerned. "He’s too reckless to take on the Vulture alone."
"Yeah, you’re right. He should have told Stark. But… he’s letting his pride get in the way." Uncle Ben sighed, shaking his head.
[The scene changed to a classroom, where a familiar face appeared on the screen—Captain America. Sitting in a chair, he gave a fatherly speech. "So, you got detention. You messed up. You know you did something wrong. The question is—how are you going to fix it?"]
["Maybe you just wanted to be cool."]
["Well, let me tell you something, from someone who’s been frozen for 65 years—following the rules is what really makes you cool. We all know right from wrong. We all know black from white. So next time some idiots try to get you to do something you know is wrong—"]
[Steve Rogers hadn’t even finished his lecture when Peter—clearly having had enough—grabbed his backpack and walked out of detention. Michelle Jones, sitting nearby, casually watched him leave.]
[The teacher in the room frowned. "Hey! Where are you going? Get back here!"]
[He turned to Michelle Jones instead. "And you—what are you doing here? You didn’t get detention."]
["Oh, I know." Michelle Jones flipped a page in her notebook. "I like coming here. Drawing people in crisis."]
[She held up her sketchbook with a smirk. "Haha! It’s you."]
"Hahaha! Cap, how many of these promo videos did you film?" Scott Lang laughed, taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Don’t ask. I don’t know." Steve Rogers groaned, covering his face. The secondhand embarrassment was unbearable. "I don’t even remember shooting half of these!"
Scott kept laughing. "Man, I love how Peter just walked out in the middle of your lecture. No respect!"
Meanwhile, Wanda turned to Scott, raising an eyebrow. "By the way, Scott, don’t you have a family? Shouldn’t you be worried about them while you’re here?"
Scott shrugged. "Oh, I just called them. They’re doing fine. My daughter misses me, though. I can’t leave yet, but I’m thinking of asking them to come visit. You guys cool with that?"
Wanda glanced at Steve Rogers, who gave a small nod. "Yeah, that should be fine."
Scott grinned. "Awesome! Cassie’s gonna love meeting all you superheroes."
Recently, Scott had been applying for house arrest so he could return home while still being monitored. He missed his daughter and wanted to be with her again. But so far, his request hadn’t been approved.
In truth, Scott wanted to become Ant-Man, like in the Sky Screen’s future projection. He knew Nick Fury had already explained the Ant-Man legacy to him, but ultimately, the decision rested with Dr. Hank Pym.
Dr. Pym was still hesitant about whether to pass on the Ant-Man suit to Scott, despite the future projection showing it was meant to happen. He wanted to evaluate Scott personally first, but Scott had been staying in Stark Tower, making it difficult for them to meet.
For now, Scott was just another guy hanging out with the Avengers. But deep down, he hoped that soon, he would officially become Ant-Man.
Chapter 287: Aaron Davis
[Spider-Man entered the corridor, glanced around to make sure no one was watching, then lifted an entire locker, revealing a hidden groove beneath it. He reached in and retrieved a canister of web fluid.]
[When he got home, he called out cautiously, "May?" After confirming the place was empty, he let out a sigh of relief.]
[Sitting in a chair, still wearing his spider mask and hood, he spoke up, "Hey! Karen, are you there?"]
[Karen's voice responded promptly, "Hey, Peter! How was your Spanish test?"]
[Spider-Man, clearly uninterested in discussing his test, skipped the topic and asked, "Listen, I need your help. I’m trying to remember who was under the bridge that night! But I can only recall part of the license plate number!"]
["I can perform facial recognition using the footage from that night!" Karen said proactively.]
[Spider-Man was caught off guard. "Wait... footage?"]
["Yes! Peter, I record everything you see!" Karen explained.]
["Everything?"]
[Karen emphasized, "Everything!"]
["Every moment?" Spider-Man was momentarily speechless.]
["It’s part of the protocol!" Karen revealed, playing back some of the recorded footage.]
["Yeah, I figured as much," Spider-Man muttered helplessly. In his mind, Tony was being overly cautious, which only made him more determined to handle things on his own.]
[He ran a hand through his hair. "Alright, play back the scene from last Friday."]
["Glad to help!" Karen said cheerfully, pulling up a random clip from that day.]
[The footage showed Spider-Man in front of a mirror, practicing his introduction for a party. "Hey! Hello, everyone! Yeah! What an awesome party! Hello! Liz, Peter told me a lot about you!"]
[Embarrassed, Spider-Man immediately stopped her. "No, no, no! That was just a joke! Skip ahead to later that day!"]
[Instead, Karen played another scene—this time of Spider-Man mimicking Thor. "I am Thor, son of Odin!"]
["No, no, no! Not this part! Definitely not the part we're looking for!" Spider-Man waved his hands frantically.]
[Karen teased, "Your impression is actually pretty good!"]
"Hahaha! Peter, he’s just like you!" The first-generation Gwen Stacy burst out laughing, nudging the 1st Gen Spider-Man. She recalled how he used to practice romantic lines for Mary Jane when he thought no one was watching.
The 1st Gen Spider-Man smirked and, in retaliation, tickled Gwen.
She squealed, laughing uncontrollably. "Okay, okay! I take it back! I was wrong, Peter!"
Nearby, Thor stood beside Jane Foster, his expression puzzled. While Jane had told him that people on Earth often imitated him, he hadn't expected Spider-Man to do it too.
"This Peter Parker..." Jane chuckled as she watched Spider-Man holding a wooden hammer while pretending to be Thor.
Meanwhile, some of the students from Midtown High were intrigued by the hidden compartment beneath the locker. They tried to lift it themselves, only to find that it was impossible for one or two people alone to budge it. No wonder Spider-Man had chosen it as a hiding place for his web fluid.
[Realizing Karen was messing with him, Spider-Man groaned. "Just skip to the arms deal already!"]
[Karen, unable to tease him further, finally displayed the correct footage.]
["Alright! Who are the two guys on the right?" Spider-Man asked, looking at Herman and Brice in the video.]
["Searching law enforcement databases… No relevant records found on either of them," Karen reported after scanning.]
["Nothing?" Spider-Man asked, incredulous.]
["One match found! Aaron Davis, 33 years old! Criminal record detected. Current location: Queens," Karen informed him.]
[Spider-Man perked up. "Finally! Alright, let's go pay him a visit!"]
["Would you like me to activate Enhanced Interrogation Mode?" Karen asked.]
[Spider-Man hesitated briefly before nodding. "Yeah, sure."]
[The scene shifted to Aaron Davis walking through a parking lot. He casually opened the trunk of his car, unaware that a drone was following him.]
[Just as he was reaching inside, Spider-Man suddenly dropped down, shooting a web to stick Aaron’s hand to the trunk.]
[Aaron Davis froze for a moment, then spotted the drone hovering above him. Spider-Man stepped forward and said in a deep, distorted voice, "Do you remember me? Tell me everything you know!"]
[Hearing the altered voice, Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Okay, calm down!"]
["Come on!" Spider-Man growled, his voice still modified. Aaron, unbothered, simply stared at him. "What's wrong with your voice?"]
[Spider-Man stiffened. "Why are you asking that?"]
[Aaron Davis smirked. "I heard your voice under the bridge that night. It sounded like a girl's voice."]
[Spider-Man immediately panicked. "I'm not a girl! I'm a boy! I mean—I'm a man!"]
[Aaron Davis shrugged, unimpressed. "I don’t care if you’re a man or a woman." He casually placed items into his trunk.]
["I’m not a girl! I’m a real man! Now come on, man! Who's selling these weapons? I need info—names, something!"]
[After finishing, Aaron suddenly slammed the trunk shut, making Spider-Man instinctively step back.]
Aaron eyed him knowingly. "Is this your first time doing this?"
[Spider-Man sighed and muttered, "Karen, turn off interrogation mode." The drone immediately retracted into his suit.]
[Aaron couldn't help but chuckle. Just as he suspected, Spider-Man was a total rookie.]
[Spider-Man crossed his arms. "Listen, man, the weapons these guys are selling are seriously dangerous. We can't let them spread any further."]
["One of those weapons could’ve destroyed Delmar's Deli with a single shot—"]
[Aaron suddenly cut him off. "Wait… you know Delmar’s Deli?"]
[Spider-Man blinked. "Of course! Best sandwiches in Queens!"]
Aaron narrowed his eyes. "Saihaven’s got some pretty good ones too."
[Spider-Man scoffed, "They put too much bread in theirs."]
["I like extra bread."]
[For a brief moment, the tension between them eased, and Spider-Man tried again. "Come on, man. Help me out here."]
[But Aaron remained silent. Disappointed, Spider-Man sighed and turned to leave. "Interrogation mode is useless. Karen, don’t ever activate that again."]
Chapter 288: The Ferry
"Peter's mindset is so easy to read. He's still just a kid. He even got scared by that guy and completely forgot he’s Spider-Man!"
Rhodey shook his head as he watched Spider-Man's awkward interrogation attempt.
"Hahaha! Yeah! He’s trying way too hard!" Banner laughed, nodding in agreement.
Tony, looking slightly disappointed, sighed. "Oh, come on! He’s actually worried about whether he sounds like a man or a woman? That interrogation was a complete failure."
"The so-called enhanced interrogation mode doesn’t seem all that effective," Rhodey smirked at Tony.
"Hey! This mode wasn’t designed for him in the first place, was it?" Tony rolled his eyes, though he had to admit—it was a total disaster. Maybe it was time for an upgrade.
George Stacy covered his face, unable to watch any longer. "That guy didn’t even say anything, yet Peter III blurted out that he lives in Queens!"
Hearing her father’s comment, the second-generation Gwen chimed in, "And then the guy confirmed it by mentioning a second shop nearby. That basically proves the third-gen Peter lives close by!"
2nd Gen Spider-Man felt a little embarrassed. Since this was a Peter Parker from another universe, anything he did would reflect on him—just like how his own actions were often compared to 1st Gen Spider-Man.
[Just when Spider-Man thought the operation was a complete bust, Aaron Davis suddenly said, "That night, you told that guy, 'If you're going to shoot, shoot me.' That was pretty gutsy."]
["I don’t want those weapons around here either. My nephew lives nearby." Hearing Aaron Davis's words snapped Spider-Man out of his disappointment.]
["Who are they? What do you know about that guy with wings?"]
[Aaron Davis didn’t know much. "All I know is he's a nutjob who dresses like a demon. That’s it. No idea who he is or where he lives."]
[Spider-Man sighed, leaning against the car in frustration. But then Aaron stroked his chin thoughtfully and said, "But I do know where he’s headed next!"]
["Really?" Spider-Man’s eyes widened, and the white lenses on his mask adjusted to match his excitement.]
["Yeah! Some crazy guy I worked with before—he’s supposed to be making a deal with him."]
["Hey! That’s great!" Overjoyed, Spider-Man turned to leave immediately.]
[Aaron Davis watched him go and quickly shouted, "Hey, hey, hey! Hold up! I haven’t even told you where yet!"]
[Spider-Man skidded to a stop, realizing his mistake. "Oh! Right! That was dumb. My bad."]
[He hurried back and leaned against the car expectantly. "Okay, okay! Where is he?"]
[Aaron gave him a deadpan look. "Can I give you some advice first?"]
["Huh?" Spider-Man tilted his head, confused.]
["You really need to learn how to interrogate people."]
[Spider-Man crossed his arms, pretending to be tough. "I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m super intimidating!"]
[Aaron didn’t even dignify that with a response and just gave him the answer. "Staten Island Ferry. 11 o’clock."]
[Spider-Man immediately checked the time and panicked. "Oh, man! It’s almost time! And that stuff on your hand—it dissolves in two hours!"]
[He pointed at the webbing sticking Aaron’s palm to the trunk, then turned to leave.]
[Aaron’s eyes widened in alarm. "Nononono! Hey! Come back and get this off me!"]
[Spider-Man backed away, pointing at him teasingly. "Two hours. That’s your punishment!"]
["I’ve got ice cream in here!" Aaron Davis groaned, frustrated.]
["Well, you are a criminal. Actions have consequences. Enjoy your melted ice cream, Mr. Criminal!" Spider-Man waved and swung away.]
"Ugh! He looks so dumb! At least he didn’t get completely played," Otto Octavius sighed. It was frustrating to watch, but at least Spider-Man hadn’t entirely let Aaron Davis go. While a little personal payback was mixed in, he finally took some control.
Compared to 1st Gen Spider-Man, though, this kid was still way too inexperienced. He really needed to learn some things the hard way.
Rosa’s attention was on something else. "Such a shame… that ice cream is gonna melt!"
Otto gave her a speechless look, not sure how to respond.
1st Gen Spider-Man chuckled as he suddenly had an idea—maybe he should take Gwen out for ice cream later.
[Spider-Man swung through the city toward the docks. By the time he arrived, the ferry was already pulling out of port. He tried to speed up and, at the last second, managed to latch onto it using his web, gliding over the water and landing on the ship’s exterior.]
[Carefully, he climbed up the side and peeked through a window, spotting Herman inside. "Okay, listen, Karen. Activate advanced recon mode!"]
["No problem!" Karen’s voice chirped as Spider-Man’s mask interface adjusted, immediately enhancing his ability to hear conversations on board.]
[Vulture and Herman sat across from each other. "He’s up front, on the main deck," one of them muttered.]
[Hearing this, Herman grumbled, "I hate that guy."]
[Spider-Man recognized Herman instantly, but the other guy? He had no clue. "Karen, that guy under the bridge the other night… who’s the other one?"]
[Karen quickly ran a database search. "No matches found in the criminal records."]
[Just then, a notification popped up. "Incoming call from May Parker! Would you like to answer?"]
["Not now! Call her back later!" Spider-Man whispered, quickly dismissing the alert.]
[He stayed low by the window, watching as Herman prepared for the trade. "Hey, drone, tail that guy! We cannot let them get away this time!"]
[Spider-Man climbed up to the ferry’s top deck, crouching silently above their heads, observing the transaction unfold below.]
["Karen, who’s the guy on the left?"]
[Karen scanned his face and immediately pulled up a profile. "That’s Mac Gargan, a.k.a. Scorpion. Multiple criminal offenses, including murder."]
[Karen then suggested, "Would you like me to activate instant-kill mode?"]
[Spider-Man nearly facepalmed. "NO! Karen! Stop suggesting instant-kill mode!"]
Chapter 289: Transaction on the Ferry
"What on earth are the New York police even doing? How is this murderer still walking free?"
"Damn NYPD! They're taking our tax dollars just to sit in their offices eating donuts?"
"How is this guy, Mac Gargan, able to roam around so brazenly?"
"And now he’s casually taking a ferry to buy high-tech weapons? This is ridiculous! I demand a protest!"
After the chaos that had driven many people to flee New York, the residents who remained began to openly question the NYPD’s competence.
Crowds of frustrated citizens gathered outside NYPD headquarters and major precincts, demanding answers.
The police leadership was feeling the heat. Under intense pressure, they issued orders to track down and arrest Mac Gargan and his associates—whether or not they had committed any additional crimes recently. Right now, they just needed to make a high-profile arrest to ease public outrage. Otherwise, some top NYPD officials feared they might soon be out of a job.
New York was already at its most volatile moment. General Ross had deployed military forces into the city to suppress looting and maintain order. If public anger shifted toward the police as well, things could spiral out of control.
The city was under intense global scrutiny, and if violent clashes erupted between citizens and the police—or worse, between civilians and the military—there would be no way to shift the blame. The situation had to be defused as quickly as possible.
Mac Gargan quickly realized he was in trouble. He had already been lying low in New York, hoping things would blow over, but then Skycurtain exposed him to the world.
The news showed the NYPD holding a press conference, announcing a citywide manhunt and placing a high bounty on his capture.
With all escape routes cut off by military checkpoints and every criminal in the underworld looking to cash in on his bounty, Gargan was trapped. The true danger of being exposed by Sky curtain wasn’t just law enforcement—it was that everyone knew what you’d done.
Changing his identity wouldn’t help. He was already a marked man.
Not long after the NYPD placed the bounty, someone turned him in. He and his crew were quickly arrested, bringing a sigh of relief to the police force.
With his capture, the NYPD could now prove they were still capable of maintaining order in New York City. Meanwhile, the military had quelled most of the looting, calming public unrest.
[Herman walked over and said, "White pickup truck."]
[Mac Gargan motioned to his men, and they immediately headed toward the parking garage.]
[From above, Spider-Man listened in and whispered, "Drone, scan the ferry for a white pickup truck!"]
[Receiving the command, the drone immediately flew off, scanning the entire ferry. It soon located the white pickup truck among the mass of parked cars.]
[It hovered behind the truck, beginning a scan of the cargo. The driver, sitting in the cab, remained completely unaware of its presence.]
[Just then, the driver stepped out of the vehicle. The drone, only halfway through its scan, quickly retreated to avoid detection before repositioning itself to continue filming from a safer angle.]
[The driver and the trader, oblivious to the surveillance, casually lifted the tarp covering the truck bed, revealing crates of advanced weapons.]
[Spider-Man watched the scene unfold and couldn’t help but exclaim, "Oh! This is perfect! We’ve got the weapons, the buyer, and the seller all in one place!"]
[Just as he was about to make his move, Karen suddenly interrupted. "Incoming call from Tony Stark."]
["NONONONO! Don't answer it!" Spider-Man panicked. He didn’t want to disappoint Tony at such a critical moment, but before he could protest further, Karen had already connected the call.]
[Tony’s voice came through as he removed his sunglasses while sitting in his car. "Mr. Parker! Got a moment?"]
[Flustered, Spider-Man blurted out, "Uh... uh, I’m at school!"]
[Karen, ever the AI assistant, immediately corrected him. "You are not in school."]
[Tony, unable to hear Karen, continued talking. "That rescue you pulled off ? Not bad! My dad never really encouraged me, but I’m trying to break that cycle."]
[Spider-Man listened while keeping his eyes locked on Herman and Mac Gargan below. "Uh-huh! Yeah! Look, I’m kinda busy right now!"]
[Tony frowned. "Don’t interrupt me when I’m complimenting you! Anyway, some big things are coming soon—"]
[A loud horn from the ferry suddenly interrupted the conversation. Tony squinted in confusion. "What was that?"]
[Thinking fast, Spider-Man blurted out, "Uh! Band practice!"]
[Tony wasn’t buying it. He narrowed his eyes. "That’s weird… Happy told me you quit the band six weeks ago. What’s going on?"]
[Meanwhile, the deal between Herman and Gargan was nearly complete. Herman was just about to hand over the keys to the pickup truck.]
[Spider-Man couldn’t afford any more distractions. "I gotta go! Ending the call now!"]
[Tony barely had time to react. "Hey—!" But before he could say anything else, Karen had already hung up.]
"I never expected to hear you praise someone, Tony! Really, I’m shocked!" Rhodey smirked at him.
"Yeah! Honestly, I am pretty good at giving compliments," Tony said with a self-satisfied smirk. "But most people don’t deserve them."
Rhodey chuckled. He had teased Tony so many times that the billionaire barely reacted anymore. There was just too much dirt on Tony for him to fight back effectively.
"Looks like Tony from Skycurtain is really raising little Peter Parker like his own son," someone commented. "He even brought up Howard!"
Steve Rogers, hearing Tony mention his father, felt a pang of nostalgia for his old friend.
"The third-gen Peter Parker’s lies were full of holes, and now he’s even hung up on Tony. Stark is definitely going to track his whereabouts," Nick Fury observed. "If things go smoothly, no problem. But if they don’t… things could get messy."
Shaking his head, Fury thought to himself: Spider-Man was still too young. He wasn’t careful enough with his words or actions. He needed proper training.
Perhaps it was time to bring in Natasha.
Although she was a top-tier spy, Natasha’s current situation was a little… complicated. Giving her a temporary job as Peter’s combat instructor might actually be a good way to let her relax while still being useful.
Chapter 290: Battle on the Ferry
[After hanging up the phone, Spider-Man shouted to the crowd, "I’ll take that!" and shot a web line, snatching the key from Herman’s hand.]
[He landed right in front of them with a confident stance. "Hey, guys! The illegal arms deal was scheduled for the 10:30 ferry—you’re late!"]
[Herman immediately began retreating upon seeing Spider-Man, while Mac Gargan and his crew pulled out their guns, aiming at him.]
[Before they could fire, Spider-Man quickly shot out webs, yanking two of Gargan’s men off their feet and tossing them backward. Then, with a swift double-kick, he sent Gargan flying.]
[Just as Gargan was about to tumble off the edge into the water, Spider-Man shot out another web, latching onto him and pulling him back.]
[Behind him, Herman lifted his coat, revealing his mechanical gauntlet. Activating it, he lunged at Spider-Man from behind.]
[Spider-Man’s instincts kicked in—he ducked just in time to avoid the punch. Herman's metal fist struck the webbing-covered railing instead, sending sparks flying.]
[Seizing the opening, Spider-Man quickly wrapped him in more webbing. Meanwhile, inside the ferry’s cabin, Vulture heard Mason’s urgent message over the comms: "Spider-Man is here!"]
[At the mention of that name, Toomes immediately stood up, his expression darkening with resentment. He turned toward the back of the ferry.]
[Meanwhile, the two thugs who had been knocked down earlier struggled to get up, scrambling for their guns. Spider-Man sensed the danger and reacted instantly.]
["NONONO!" he shouted, turning and shooting a web toward a nearby motorcycle. He yanked it over, sending it crashing into the two men and knocking them flat again.]
[Spider-Man looked at them sprawled out on the deck, wincing slightly. "Uh… you guys okay? Sorry! Maybe I hit you a little too hard?"]
[Then, turning to Herman, who was still struggling in the webbing, Spider-Man sighed. "Gotta say, man… you were way smoother last time."]
[He quickly reloaded his web shooters, and his drone returned to his chest. "To be honest, I’m kinda surprised."]
[Sensing movement behind him, Spider-Man instinctively shot a web grenade over his shoulder without looking back.]
[The grenade detonated mid-air, splattering webbing onto the approaching figure, pinning them against the wall before they could react. A lone thug, watching from a distance, gulped as he witnessed everything unfold.]
[Suddenly, Vulture appeared from behind, grabbing Spider-Man’s head and slamming it into the side of a pickup truck. The impact dazed him momentarily.]
"As expected of Spider-Man—his Spider-Sense is really something. He didn’t even have to look to react."
George Stacy couldn’t help but be impressed. Despite Skycurtain mentioning that Peter’s Spider-Sense was inconsistent, at least this time, it worked flawlessly.
"To be honest, I really envy his tech," 2nd Gen Peter muttered, watching closely. Every time he saw the high-tech functions built into Spider-Man’s suit, he felt a pang of jealousy.
"Yeah!" Gwen agreed. She and 2nd Gen Spider-Man had been working on developing their own web formulas recently. They’d made progress, but they were still nowhere near the 576 different types that Spider-Man’s suit had.
Not to mention the additional gadgets—parachutes, drones, heaters—just thinking about it made 2nd Gen Peter’s head hurt.
Fortunately, with Gwen’s help and Osborn Industries finally stabilizing, Harry had been able to lend some support. Though for now, he could only provide materials, it was still a step forward in upgrading the suit.
[Hearing the commotion, Spider-Man turned to lock eyes with Toomes. In that moment, he knew—this was the mastermind behind everything. He had to take him down.]
[But before he could make a move, a squad of men suddenly burst onto the scene, guns drawn. "Freeze! FBI! Don’t move!"]
[Another group stormed in from the side entrance. "Drop your weapons! FBI! Get down!"]
[Spider-Man hesitated for a split second, utterly confused. "Wait… FBI? What the heck is going on?"]
[Karen, ever helpful, assumed he didn’t understand. "FBI stands for the Federal Bureau of Investigation!"]
[Spider-Man groaned. "I know what the FBI is, Karen! I just don’t get why they’re here!"]
[Before he could make sense of it, a loud crash echoed through the ship as a steel wing slammed into the ferry’s van cabin.]
[Everyone turned in shock. "What was that?!"]
[Then, with a mechanical roar, Vulture emerged from the van, fully suited up and armed. In his grip, an energy weapon hummed ominously.]
[One of the FBI agents immediately opened fire, but Vulture’s armor deflected the bullets with ease. Spider-Man yelled from behind them, "Get out of the way! MOVE!"]
["Go, go, go! Get back!" Spider-Man’s anxiety spiked. The FBI agents were not prepared to deal with someone like Vulture.]
[Suddenly, Vulture fired a particle beam. Spider-Man dodged just in time as Vulture hooked a car with his talons and hurled it straight at the agents.]
["LOOK OUT! MOVE, MOVE!" Spider-Man lunged forward, yanking one of the FBI agents aside just as the car smashed into the deck. However, the impact sent him sprawling.]
[Meanwhile, Mac Gargan, still dazed, got caught in the chaos. The flying car struck him, sending him tumbling overboard into the water below.]
[Above them, Vulture soared into the sky, glancing back at the scene below. He quickly fired a burst shot at the webbing holding Herman captive, breaking him free. "Top deck! We’re leaving!"]
[Herman didn’t hesitate. He bolted toward the cabin exit. Spider-Man, recovering from his fall, quickly fired a web to stop him, but Vulture intercepted it with another energy blast, disintegrating the webbing mid-air.]
[Vulture had no interest in prolonged combat. He immediately started ascending, planning his escape. But Spider-Man wasn’t about to let him go.]
[With a swift flick, he fired a web that latched onto Vulture’s leg, anchoring him in place.]
[Spider-Man gritted his teeth, pulling with all his might, preventing Vulture from taking off. Meanwhile, the remaining FBI agents opened fire again. Bullets sparked against Vulture’s armor, but none penetrated.]
[Vulture curled his wings around himself for protection. The moment the agents paused their assault, he retaliated—firing two consecutive particle blasts, forcing them to take cover.]
[One of the shots shattered a cabin window, sending glass flying toward the passengers inside.]
[Reacting instantly, Spider-Man shot a web to a nearby car, securing it before flipping backward to dodge an incoming attack.]
[Vulture tried to pull away, but Spider-Man’s web remained firmly attached to his foot—and to the car below. The more he struggled, the more the vehicle wedged itself against a metal pillar, keeping him tethered to the ferry.]
