Desecrated Temple

Hi All!

I’m excited to release this first map to my early patrons. This large desecrated temple has lots of versatility with hidden doors and secret exits. The driving idea behind this map is that a group of creatures; Goblins, Hobgoblins or Gnolls, have claimed this temple as their own and the players must dig them out.

When creating this map I wanted to give players plenty of options for plans of attack. If they took more time doing reconnaissance they'd be able to find some easy points of entry and perhaps catch the enemy unawares. It also has secret chambers like the crypt and sleeping quarters at the back that you can use to add depth to the story and reward players who search to find the secrets therein.

In my home game my players have just reached the outer limits of this map, arriving at the bottom left entrance, where they immediately sent a hail of arrows into the enemy before falling back. Hoping to kite the enemy and lure them out but with no luck, the Gnolls that have taken this temple not wanting to give up their hard won prize.

For Tier 2 patrons the .psd provided for this map has the basic map background and then all of the assets; tables, pillars, statues, piles of bodies, broken in to layers so that you can move, delete or double up any elements you like. I've also included options for two of the bowls in the hall of sacrifice to either be on fire or filled with blood.

In the coming months I plan to put together some quick guides on how to use the .psd files to achieve different results with my maps, in the meantime if you have any questions just pop them in the comments below.
