THE QUIET AWAY PLACE
I’ve been lucky enough in my almost 20 year career to work with some of the most beautiful, talented woman working in and out of the modeling industry. Nothing shocks me at this point, and very little impresses me. But shooting with the legendary Erna for the first time last month really knocked my socks off, and I haven’t been the same ever since.
This series was taken the second time we shot, only two weeks after our initial meeting. She is as timeless and classic a beauty as you’ll ever meet, and shockingly professional, down-to-earth, and real. Erna is goofy, sweet, fun, and doesn’t seem to take herself seriously at all. Truly a remarkable woman, and I can’t say enough incredibly kind words to say about this special person.
These images were taken in the living room of an AirBNB she’d found. It was an older, vintage house that looked deceivingly small from the outside, but opened up to numerous levels and classic styling inside. To say it was a whirlwind of beauty, light, and productivity would be an understatement. I could not have asked for a better shoot or a better model.
