HIGHER, Pt. 17

I tried to make my way to the second floor, but the man pushed me on to keep going, and refusing to tell him what apartment number I was in, he once again accused me of just sneaking into the building. With no regard or concern about Ana at all, he then continued to lead us down to the lobby, where I offered to go to my truck in the garage and show him I was there by permission, but at that point, he was apoplectic, and he shoved me and Ana out the door of the front lobby, her still in her underwear, and me without the buzzer to the gate to gain access to my vehicle.

Comments

That is very true, diffusing situations is always my default. I could just feel my buttons being pressed from this story the amount of disrespect he instantly showed towards you is what I see unacceptable. You handled it very well and like you said, you and Ana have on hell of a story to tell for years to come. Always look for positivity!

Thanks, Casey. Thankfully whenever people get angry or loud around me, I tend to get calmer and quieter. It's a well-earned skill that took a lifetime to develop, but I'm glad I have it. In situations like this, there's not a lot you can say to irrational people.

This story is getting me heated man, Mark at this point my patience would have been pushed and probably would not have stayed as calm as you seem, especially if there was physical contact from the man.
