Hi everyone. Today's update is once again a day late - it may be the case for a while that the Friday update actually comes on a Saturday instead as Fridays are getting quite busy for me at the moment. Today's update contains minor spoiler information about new features coming in 0.8, so if you'd rather not know, feel free to skip to the poll results below.

Ask and you shall receive

An oft-requested feature in Missy is legal slavery content. Many players find Sapphory's practice of formally enslaving women an alluring prospect and wish to see this happen to our lovely girl in-game. While a bit problematic because of how the fluff is set up, you'll be pleased to know that in this update, I have found a workaround that will allow you to play as a slave temporarily. It's not the last such scene that will go in, but it's a start, and I'm sure many of you will love walking around nude and collared as the NPCs react to your being in this state! (Sorry, no, the above picture isn't a preview from it, it's a picture pack image from 2022 which I picked for illustrative purposes.)

Baring it all

What this will also do is begin to build the framework for more public nudity in the future. In the initial release of the game, I created code to prevent Missy from taking her clothes off in public because it would have greatly increased development time to have made the world respond to her undressed state. However, it was always the intention to allow this if the player could raise her sluttiness high enough, and with these changes, I can begin moving towards realising this ambition.

Poll Results

Last week I conducted some research on how you like to enjoy the game. The results aren't all that surprising to be honest. They confirm what the public polls have been saying that combat isn't currently popular (more on that on Wednesday) and what I've suspected for a while which is that the roleplaying element is the most important thing in the game, even more so than the choice-based element. (Though these two are of course connected.)

With new events, I'll be bearing this in mind and trying to ensure that the different kinds of Missy all have options, Most existing events are already compliant, and sometimes I'll go back and add options to events (one example of this is the girls bullying Mary - since the initial release, when you could fight, call the teacher or walk away, it's expanded to include options to kneel before them, use your influence and even join in.)

The low interest in puzzle elements is interesting, and again confirms that this game does not require complicated mechanics, just plenty of choices. The reason I mention it is because.... Oh sorry, more spoilers. just stop reading here this time if you don't want to know.

...is because I've added some really simple puzzle mechanics to Chapter Six as well as the closest thing this game is ever likely to have to a dungeon. I can't wait for the inevitable barrage of questions across various platforms about how to just do it without having to think!

Anyway, have a great weekend, I'll be back on Monday!

"The low interest in puzzle elements is interesting, and again confirms that this game does not require complicated mechanics, just plenty of choices." Hey, I tip my hat! I think you are drawing the right conclusions from your polls! Myself, I love your work for all kind of reasons - the puzzles aren't one of them. And I wouldn't be surprised, if other would see it the same way. I would love to see more relevance to the choices in the sense of: if I let MC be more Dominant then this happens (or her interactions with other NPC's follow a certain pattern) and if I chose a different path, then it plays out in a different way.

Important to note however that many would be interested in combat if it involved H-elements, grapples, submissions, etc.
