i don’t wanna say this is the first time i’ve felt disgust for something abby has said to chloe, but the crumbling up of the picture of her and detailing every thing that was wrong with her in front of everybody almost made me stop watching this episode. hearing that made me feel sick on another level… chloe is one of the most resilient women i know, ALL of the girls and you moms are!!!

I remember watching this episode for the first time and I was so confused of the weird edits, and how the edited what abbey said to Cathy (the seven dancers episode) over what she said. I found out what was happening in Chloe’s YouTube video explaining what was happening. I feel so bad that you guys went through this. I found it quite difficult to watch the later seasons I didn’t enjoy season 5 I found it boring, it’s great to see you both push through this difficult time you guys are so close. I think the rest of the seasons will be interesting for you guys to watch as viewers. Love you both xx

Dancer of 29 years, here. To answer Christi’s question about Kamryn’s feet: She has incredibly flexible feet, but she often sickles them and forgets to point them in transitions (watch her preps into her leaps and turns). She also doesn’t fully straighten her knees when she needs to, and her supporting leg is never turned out. The combination of her knees not being fully straightened, her lack of turnout, and her super archy feet makes for some wonky lines.

What I think is truly sad is that in the beginning of season 5 all of the moms really shit on you guys. All of them. I know its been said time and time again that things are edited beyond belief in the show. However, certain things absolutely could not have been edited. It wasnt even drama about the situation either it was personal insults. Like when melissa said Kelly "doesn't even know how to work a computer". Said a lot tbh.

Firstly, I'm gonna have an unpopular opinion here and I'm going to disclaimer it with i know NOTHING about dance 😆 but i liked the Candy Apple dance! I thought it was entertaining. I thought both of the aldc dances were meh. Now on to the important part. I am proud of you both for getting through your horrible episodes. And I have to tell you that you are better people than I am. I don't have the kind of forgiveness in me that y'all seem to have. I wouldn't have it in me to speak to a single soul who was involved in this. People keep saying you guys are going to like the next seasons, but honestly the latter seasons just made me lose respect for the other moms even more. But I'm only going off of what I'm seeing on TV! I'm not claiming i know these women or their motivations.

I was that person who completely stopped watching the show once Christi left and then started to watch it again when she came back. Without Christi, Kelly and their girls, this show was no good.

I’m 23 years old now. Watching the show as a kid I always felt like Chloe. I’ve been singing since I was 7, started competitions/festivals at 9, always had the highest scores, made it in the best choirs and was always seen as one of the “favorites”. First semester of college I made it into the top select choir, told my director I was struggling with depression which was why I wasn’t doing my best and was then told that there are “many other girls who would love to take my spot”. It broke me. Behind the scenes my director told my voice teacher I didn’t deserve a solo at one of our biggest performances of the year because I have “never stepped up to the plate”. Finding that out caused my singing to suffer. I could not imagine being told EVERY DAY that you’re no good yet be expected to win on national television. Chloe has always been an inspiration for me. Love you Christi and Kelly🫶🏻

A part of this podcast is about revealing abuses and it would be a disservice not to mention that their relationship seems toxic. Very codependent. Maddy was in a situation that she could easily have become a victim due to the manipulation and abuse she received from Abby. Asking Maddy if she wanted a solo was very inauthentic (even then). Viewers saw if Maddy declined an opportunity from Abby, she would have been verbally abused. Because Maddy isn’t wildly uncomfortable in the scene as she usually was, it was obviously not a real situation. Back then, I just assumed she had another job keeping her from practice

When Kelly left, I think it was just the beginning of me losing my interest in the show and then when you left, it was over for me as well. Sending you guys lots of love. It’s really sad listening to how all the girls lose their passion, there’s a psychology term that that explains exactly what Abby’s doing to them. It’s called learned helplessness. Mice get repeated shocks in a cage and there’s no way to escape them, then they’re placed in a cage where they’re able to get away from them. The mice don’t even try, they’ve accepted it. I think it’s even worse in this case because Abby stacked the deck so high against Chloe and Paige. Anyways much love ❤️
