Status update Episode 5

Two weeks ago I made a bullet point list for you, with the tasks that remain before beta testing and proofreading.
Here's an updated version of it.
- Scenes left to write and produce art for: 4
- Static renders left to produce: 100-200
- Animations left to produce: 1 + waiting for the current animation queue to complete.
- Writing and adding Bios to the code
- Writing Episode 5 ending report
- Implement Replay gallery and rewards (almost done)
- Some mini-game code
- Music and sound effects have been added to ~95% of the episode.
- Playtest and Quality control
I'm sure many of you are wondering if the release is in May or June.
It's hard for me to say which it is, right now. The final percentages of any project are the ones that take the longest time to complete.
I'm feeling fairly sure that beta testing (my group of private testers) and proofreading will start in May.
When it starts and I have a grasp of the workload for the bugs they find, I will announce the public release dates.

2020-05-02 04:22:17 +0000 UTCI once asked that question when I first came here. The Patreon version you can download here and the one on Steam use different save files and aren't compatible. If you want to experience Episode 5 as soon as it releases, you'll need to download the version that on here and then download the update patch when it is released, or the larger download of Season 1 + Episode 5. Steam will get the entire Season 2 as DLC when it is ready.

2020-05-01 19:42:04 +0000 UTCI answered this question in a recent Q&A. My answer was basically that I make season splits based on the amount of content, not a fixed episode count. But having four episodes for Season 2 is a good estimate.

2020-05-01 18:43:42 +0000 UTCRecently bought Being a DIK off of steam and am enjoying it so far. ***SPOILER ALERT*** I have to say that first weekend when you go back to see Josy was written so well! From talking to Steve about his parents divorcing to the dinner and night with Josy. The dialogue and realness I felt from you making the first move to get close and the way it goes down was amazing. I've been there in real life and in was portrayed excellently. The music was great for that whole scene also. I hope my character is never torn between Josy and Maya lol they are both great characters, great character models. Great work sir! I'll have to get Acting Lessons from Steam after I finish Being a DIK All the Best Tom, 33 UK
