Excellent characterization! The compassion with which Jon looked at Daenerys was very well presented. And the departure from the previous version that reveals your growth as a writer. Thanks for this revision. But I can understand why you’ll never do another one.

2025-06-04 19:57:51 +0000 UTCAn excellent three chapters. Dany, Aegon, and the Unsullied all got a raw deal in life, here and in canon. They were set up for lies, abuse and madness from almost day 1. Seeing Tommen take charge was excellent. He’s one of the more decent people in ASoIaF. Jaime’s scene was well done. He’s screwed in the head but he could have been so much more. Shireen in this story comes across as the best of what was in Stannis. And Stannis was a lot like Jaime, not that they’d ever recognize it. Both could have been great, except for some of the idiocy that existed between their ears. It’s curious that Rhaegal continues to survive at Harrenhal. Jon might want to move him North someday. After all, Shiree/Jon might have a lot of kids and it wouldn’t do to waste an unclaimed dragon. I’m enjoying this re-write.
