Invitation to the new RGC discord server
Added 2023-04-10 21:20:44 +0000 UTCHey everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am creating a Retro Game Corps discord server, as an easy means of discussing RGC-related stuff in one centralized location.
As many of you know, I already have a little nook within the Retro Handhelds discord server, and this isn't meant to replace my presence there, but rather the RGC discord server will be a little more focused. I have no intentions of growing the RGC server into something large, instead it will be a nice low-key place to chat and get support if you need it.
The server is brand new, and I have no idea what I'm doing in terms of making it run smoothly, and so for the next month I'll keep it to Patrons and close friends only, with the hope that you'll help me work out some of the early bugs.
I am trying a new discord feature on my server, which are forum channels. For example if you have an issue with a custom firmware, you can create a new forum post, tag it with the appropriate firmware name, and someone can jump in and answer the question, as opposed to throwing the request out and hoping that the right person sees it. I'm hoping this will focus the conversation immensely.

I do like the idea of the forums and I think it'll be very helpful. I'll join up just in case I ever have to utilize them.
