Dad Reacts to Lana Del Ray - Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.

Comments

If you’re enjoying Jack Antonoff production, I love Lorde’s Solar Power for the same reason!

I agree! Blue Banisters is so underrated and it is one of my favorites

This was great :) would love to see a reaction to Chemtrails Over the Country Club or Blue Banisters. Both really beautiful albums imo

Ultraviolence and Honeymoon are a must, and (maybe controversially?) I think Blue Bannisters is underrated - some beautifully personal writing that hints at what's to come on Ocean Boulevard!

Need you guys to react to Carrie & Lowell, Yes Lawd!, and Endless

Just wanted to add that Tommy Genesis is a woman 😅 she’s the sample for the chorus. She’s from Vancouver! Edit: oops I should watch the video fully before commenting haha Connor already figured it out. In regards to ending the album with Taco X VB, Jack Antonoff produced the whole of Norman Fucking Rockwell! And Chemtrails Over The Country Club too. Prior to A&W Jack said VB was his favourite piece he’s ever made with Lana. NFR was written and released around the same time Lana was in a longterm relationship, so I think the song is written about her ex. I think they’ve reworked the song by using the start as Taco Truck and ending the song “signing off bang bang kiss kiss”opposed to how the original song ends, to give it a slightly different meaning due to Lana’s relationship with her ex not ending well. Jack also only partially produced this album. Zach Dawes is the bassist for The Last Shadow Puppets, which is a band he has with Arctic Monkeys Alex Turner, produced some of the songs on this album as well as the entirety of Blue Bannisters, the album prior to this one :)

Aaaaah I just saw the cut version pop up on YouTube and I raaaan to Patreon. I have no idea how I missed this! I’m a huge Lana fan. Equal to my love for the Arctic Monkeys. Maybe more, even. I’m so excited! Thanks guys!

I'm curious, what was the line that made Kevin Cry on Margaret? For me it is the "Maybe tomorrow you'll know" line.
