Added 2022-02-07 20:05:32 +0000 UTCI know it's unfair but the 5 slots sold out in a matter of minutes despite being offered exclusively to my Patrons. I usually accept every request that come in on the first day just to give everyone a chance but I've already doubled the list and I can't take anymore. So please don't send anymore request :p
You guys are awsome, and I'll find a way to make it up to you.

I've been answering email in real rime for about 3 hours strait. I guess you guys where really craving a commission from me. I'll try to make it a more regular thing from now on. I wasn't expecting that much of a reaction.

Someone who is willing and can afford to drop $175 on a commission but absolutely cannot scrape together enough for a $300 commission would indeed be hosed, but even then since the alternative is pure luck it's not that big a difference. I mean, sure, this person who falls in this very tightly defined financial category might ALSO happen to be online at the right moment to jump on a commish, but.... I don't think we're talking about very many people here, if any. Sorting by how much you are willing to pay -- even bearing in mind personal wealth makes you more willing to drop a few hundred-- is still better than going by luck. If I work during the day when the Western daytime when these posts usually come out I'm absolutely screwed, even if I was willing to borrow from everyone I knew because I desperately wanted a commish. At least by raising the rates until the commissions take a couple days to sell out I have a chance, if I'm willing to go the extra mile. And more importantly, it's more money for Alx. If you want to look at it selfishly, more money per commish means fewer commishes needed which means more time for Patreon stuff.

2022-02-08 03:01:20 +0000 UTCSince the other post is deleted, I'll just comment here: in the past I've used Patreon for commissions by just increasing my monthly amount and then decreasing it again. Works better for pay-up-front patreons.
