“Know,” Shauna pulls you into a big hug. “You do what’s best right now. Don’t worry about the wedding or anything. If you need to go or-”
You hurriedly shake your head to cut her off. “No, no,” you sigh. “I’m looking forward to the wedding. I’m looking forward to whatever horrible bridesmaid gown you have ready for me.” You give her a smile. “I’ll be ok.”
Shauna smiles. “It isn’t horrible, ok? I picked a very pretty dress!”
You giggle and pull her in for another hug again.
After that, Shauna started going to visit Emmett at his office. For a little while, things were quiet, and you helped Beau and the others get the barn ready for the big day.
One afternoon as you’re walking with Remi around the barn while Beau and Shauna have gone to try wedding cakes, Emmett pulls up to the house. He comes into the barn where you and Remi are hiding. You turn and look at him in the doorway and Remi stands at the ready.
