Vampire Boyfriend: Aurelien (special preview)

“You are not allowed to open any curtain before sunset.” Aurélien holds your hand as he starts to walk with you. “And they must all be closed again before sunrise.” You takes you into a dark hallway where the candles are lit along the walls. 

“Why must it stay so dark?” You ask timidly.

“You will learn in time.” Aurélien looks down upon you. “For now, just know these rules.” He then takes you into the dining hall where the table has already been set. He pulls your chair out for you then pours you a goblet of wine.

You wait to eat, watching him sit down before an empty plate. Aurélien then waves his hand to you. “Go on, enjoy your supper.”

You glance from your meal to him. “Aren’t you going to eat anything?”  

A soft smile spreads across his face. “I will, do not worry about me, my pet. Leave the worrying to me from now on.”

You take a sip of the wine, finding it a bit too bitter for your taste. You set the goblet down and start to eat. You had been too nervous to enjoy the food that morning, but now, you were able to savor how good it all was. You’d never eaten such rich foods back home.

“Is it to your liking?” Aurélien asks.

You nod. “It’s very good. I’m not used to such food though.” 

“And the wine?”

You hold your tongue, afraid that speaking ill of his offering would offend him. You glance down as your cheeks start to burn.

Aurélien chuckles. “Do you not like it? You can tell me?”

You shake your head silently.

“Too dark?” He takes your goblet and removes it from in front of you. “I should have known you would prefer things sweet.” He pours you a new glass full of a pale colored drink. “Try this, see if it suits your palate more.”

You take the glass, brushing your fingers against his. It tastes more like nectar and peaches, but it still has a hint of bitter as the other wine, but you enjoy it much more.

“Better?” Aurélien chuckles.

You smile shyly. “Much better.”

“Ah, ha,” he sighs dreamily. “There it is. My first smile.”

You smile grows bigger and you tuck your chin down as his gaze becomes something more than before. “Do you drink it too.”

“I will,” he says. “Enjoy yours, first.”

You take another gulp, licking your lips as you gaze into his shimmering eyes. “Are you going to eat me?” You ask breathlessly, both terrified and excited for the answer.

Aurélien bows his head down as he chuckles. He then lifts his eyes to yours as a dark smile spreads across his face, showing off the sharp teeth behind his lips. “Allow if you allow me to, my pet.” His voice is that sultry purr again.

“Mind if I ask how?” The question is not one you would usually ask, but something about Aurélien has you feeling brave.

“I’d rather show than tell.” He tilts his head towards his ear. 

Your heart is hammering fast. How has he pulled such excitement from you in one night? You bow your head as your cheeks begin to burn again.

After you eat and have another drink of wine, Aurélien takes you to his bedroom. You wonder if this is going to be your wedding night as you sit upon his bed. His room is done all in dark reds and rich purples, making you feel like you’re in the heart of a pomegranate.

Aurélien removes his coat and rolls up his sleeves, undoing the buttons of his shirt, he moves aside his collar. His pale skin is almost like snow, cold and pure white. As he approaches you he undoes your collar and smoothes his hands along your throat. He then slips his fingertips along the curve of your breasts as a breathless smile comes to his face.
