8 Great Things

1. Congratulations to Katharine, the winner of this weeks prize. Another slut mug is headed across the globe!

2. Today is the first day in 9 days without a wild heat warning. My gardens can breathe and my forest fairy soul is no longer parched. The rain has been a revelation and I have been running around in it in bare feet. (The footprints are photo evidence.)

3. Intervention life with my husband continues to be challenging but I have continued to be brave and make good headway. Setting new boundaries is hard but it’s already proving to be worth it. Thanks for all the good thoughts you’ve been sending my way, they’re fortifying me for sure.

4. Our coven is having it’s first small (outdoor) gathering on the 25th and we’re going to take TONS OF PICTURES FOR YOU!!!! I can’t wait. Expect greatness.

5. As usual I’ve been keeping busy with little creatures. I’ve been raising tadpoles so my kiddos can learn about their metamorphasis as they become toads (we’ve already released 5 little teeny toads back into the wild!). I’ve been trying to catch a blue parakeet that keeps visiting on my front porch, it must have been someone’s pet (the local sparrows are very curious about it and keep checking her out). I’m also picking up a cute little foster bunny next week that looks like a soot sprite. (Pics below if you need the serotonin!)

6. Max came up with an epic plan for next week and I’m in awe of her goodness, and her willfulness to be a part of my life, a part of all the parts of my life. (I’m writing a longer post about all the details, which I’ll share tomorrow!)

7. Ms.O came over last week to watch Hamilton with the kids and I too! She bought tickets to take me to see the stage production in our city in March, but it was cancelled because of the pandemic. So our couch date was the next best thing! We all enjoyed it, I’m a music theatre nerd and have been humming the songs all week.
