Date Night
Added 2019-12-17 05:17:27 +0000 UTCMax works here in the city but lives out of town, so when we have dates she gets a room at her favourite hotel. It feels like our place. Not only is it a gay-owned boutique hotel with a zero-carbon footprint and a very cool history, each room is designed by a different local artist. So far we’ve had a different room for every date, it’s part of the fun. Our favourite is the one with pink neon lights, but the one we had tonight had the coolest bathroom, orange and blue tiles and funky geometric patterns on the walls. The whole building is cozy. There’s an antique elevator, a creaky old staircase, a secret balcony with fairy lights that we sneak onto to smoke sometimes. We hear there’s one room with vintage lesbian embroidery, but we haven’t chanced upon it yet. We will though. In time. Eventually she’s going to buy an apartment of her own in the city, and we’ll meet there instead, but until then this little place with it’s weird art and city views is ours.
