The original version is primarily updated to work with new BF developments, but it was also upgraded to work with kiss ultra, and Ardupilot. Older PTB won’t work correctly with the latest BF. But there are significant upgrades on the pro version. The rpm and notch overlays, freq x time, filter sim, and dynamic real time spectral analysis are game changers. There’s nothing else out there with that functionality. Of course it’s not that useful if you don’t understand how to use the new features, but that’s a matter of learning if that’s something you want to do. Otherwise, PTB is not for someone that doesn’t wanna tune and problem solve, but that’s the nature of this hobby for anyone at some point as you progress in your skill and knowledge building. 2026-03-02 00:57:57 +0000 UTCIt's all well and good to add new technical features but they add only marginally to the usefulness of the tool in the systematic process of tuning controllers. IMHO it would be much, much better to improve the UI to make it less opaque and confusing to the user, especially those who are not experts in PID tuning. I'm quite disappointed that I became a paid member of this Patreon to get an updated version of the software only to find that the improvements over the previous free versions have limited additional utility and that the UI has actually gotten worse (if that was possible).
