2025-04-17 02:25:18 +0000 UTCMy brother in Christ it has little to do with the actual show or game. Both the game and show are going to be great, they're made by naughty dog and Sony. The issues are from the fact that they killed off Joel in the first game to replace him with the literal character that killed him, after which Ellie apparently was lesbian at a time when everyone hated "woke", (the second game wasn't nearly as loved as the first game) and then when they actually casted the show, neither characters look like their actors. Ellie in particular had an actress already lined up that the fans wanted. There's a lot, but it's very little to do with plot and everything to do with real world events and politics lol

2025-04-16 04:54:46 +0000 UTCThe conversation around this series been super toxic online with one side fully supporting Joel and thinking he never did anything wrong and other side calling him the big bad evil that prevented World to be saved. Glad to see you guys still trying to understand both logic and emotions. Reality is, Fireflies AND Joel were both trying to do their best and both did good and bad things like any human. Only ones that were fully innocent at the end of the last season were Ellie and Abby because they were both kids and not really involved in decision making process.

You just have to reverse the scenario and say Joel killed your daughter. Then you guys would probably go 20+ years to get it back in blood. Btw it was 3 infected. 2 clickers and a stalker.
