The Lich’s Lair Dungeon [70x 38]

Welcome back Fellow Darkish!

Here it is, ready for you the map you suggested during the beginning of the month pool.

You have chosed a Dungeon and among the suggestion you have given us, our imagination was struck by a Lich’s Lair.

The project, born from the union of the two ideas, was ambitious, but at end we are very satisfied.

As you have surely noticed, from some time we no longer use map building software for our maps.

Every single details it is hand drawn.

We hope the final result is to your liking, and may you enjoy exploring this Dungeon,  Believe us, it is not easy, but at the same time it is very exciting.

We hope you like the final result, exploring the Dungeon and defeating the evil Lich, at least as much as we had fun thinking about it.

MAP DESCRIPTION

The Lich’s Lair Dungeon  is an underground construction difficult to both reach and find.

The huge stone structure seems to arise directly from the rock on which it stands.

Exteriors :

Despite the obvious differences between one exterior and another, a concept does not change: falling down will not help you. We still thought it was fun to spread platforms and relief where your heroes could be attacked from afar.

The Dungeon:

The large and terrifyng door lets us inside, where the dark corridors are lit only by the magic candles of the Lich.

The inside of the Dungeon is littered with traps and skeletons, confirming the importance of the place for the wicked creature who inhabits it. We tried to furnish a Dungeon that was rich but not stuffy.

We focused above all on the playability and potential dynamics of the clashes.

Your heroes will meet a thousand troubles and we are sure you will invent a thousand more.

For example:

• The skeletons can come alive endlessy until the Lich is defeated.
• The stones heads can breathe fire or shoot dards where an adventurer passes too closed.
• From the grates, passing over them, spears or spikes can emerge, as in the most classic of the video game.
• The Mirror, you can find it duplicated, it is a Portal. The Lich can use it to get directly to his rooms, but the adventureres who dare to use it would be taken  to Prison. We hope your Party will not follow the Lich all together into it, without thinking twice about it.

The Prison:

From the bridge that leads to Dungeon you can see the Prison, where the Lich locks until death his enemies. It is very unlikely to escape from there, thanks to the thick walls and the sturdy bars.

In case you manage to escape you will find yourself directly into the Dungeon, face to face with the Lich’s guards. Better not to enter.

The Lich’s halls:

In the upper part of the Map are Lich’s personal rooms, where he exercises his enormous power.

We can find books, mysterious artifacts and big cooking pots, as well as a locked chest. Good place for players greedy for knowledge and mysteries.

Oh, what is that? The Lich’s Memory Globe! He keeps his human memorie there!
