Where to Buy Souvenirs in Thailand?

-Mall and Supermarket

Since I stayed in the Ratchathewi area, the big mall nearby is PHENIX, and there’s also a BIG C supermarket close by. I’m really happy because Bangkok is becoming more Muslim-friendly, making it easier to find halal food.

If you’re ever confused, just ask the staff—most of them wear hijabs here, so they’re easy to spot and very helpful. Inside the mall, there are tons of shops like frozen food stores, electronics stores, repair shops, and more. Plus, there are lots of seating areas if you want to cool down, and you’re totally allowed to bring outside food in!

-Skincare

Who doesn’t know Tofu Skincare? It’s a skincare and makeup paradise here! I got my deodorant and balm from this place.

If you want to visit, it’s best to come in the morning right when they open at 9 AM, because by noon it gets super crowded—and the checkout lines can be really long! They only accept cash here.

Actually, some products can be found in other stores too, but the prices at Tofu Skincare are way more affordable.

Actually, there’s another store called 100 Baht Store. It’s not as complete as Tofu Skincare, and the prices are a bit higher. But if you want to shop quickly without waiting in long lines, this place is a great option!

Just a little extra tip!

If you land and take off from Don Mueang Airport (DMK) in Bangkok and have a long wait, Muslim travelers can rest comfortably in the mosque there. It’s really nice and clean—perfect for a quick break.

Just remember to keep it tidy and don’t have big meals inside, okay!

I also managed to eat at a halal restaurant near my first hotel. Farida has a wide variety of dishes, and honestly, the food is so tasty! The spices are just amazing. You have to visit this place!

And that’s it for my quick trip to Thailand this time! So far, I really enjoyed the solo trip here—even though sometimes I felt a bit lonely, hehe.

See you again, Thailand!!
