RRP comparison for Hawk Alerts!

It's release day! RRP Comparison for Hawk Alerts is now available, allowing you to configure each of your Hawks to use a set's Recommended Retail Price (RRP) to determine if a Hawk alert should be sent or not.

So what does this mean? By default, and until now, BrickHawk has always compared a retailer's new price with their existing price to determine whether or not to send you a Hawk alert. If the percentage difference is greater than or equal to the price threshold you have set for the Hawk, you will receive an alert.

One of the downsides to this is that a retailer may slowly reduce a set's price, say by weekly 5% reductions. If you have a Hawk set for "20% off or more" for this set, you won't receive an alert when (eventually) the price reaches 20% off what it was to start with. 

With RRP Comparison for Hawk Alerts, BrickHawk will compare the retailer's new price with the Recommended Retail Price, and alert you if the difference is greater than or equal to the price threshold you have set for the Hawk. With the scenario above of multiple 5% reductions, once the price did reach 20% off of the RRP, you would receive a Hawk alert.

This is awesome for those who like to set a target discount that they will buy a set for, e.g. "that set is a must-buy set at 30% off". Just add a Hawk on the set, set the threshold to "30% off or more" and toggle the "Use RRP for comparison" switch on. BrickHawk will then do the rest - as soon as any retailer's price reaches 30% or more off the RRP, you will receive a Hawk alert, allowing you to snag that set for the price you wanted :)

RRP Comparison for Hawk Alerts is available for every set that BrickHawk knows the RRP for - around one thousand sets and counting! It's not every set though - some retailers have older sets that retired before BrickHawk was born, and BrickHawk does not have the RRP for these. If you have a Hawk for a set with an unknown RRP, you won't be able to switch on RRP comparison for the Hawk, e.g.:

If you have a Hawk on a set with an unknown RRP, and would like to be able to switch on RRP comparison, please email info@brickhawk.com with the details (including any sources you have for what the RRP was). The RRP can be manually added to BrickHawk, making it available for RRP comparison.
