Weekly Recap

[Week 20: May 17th - May 23rd]

Hey Songuardians,

We hope you are all healthy and safe. As many of you know, the end of the school year is finally here or approaching, and with it the start of summer, and some time to destress and relax.

Over at the Plugin Development Team, ahead of the coming release of Minecraft 1.17 and with it the switch to Java 16, our developers have been hard at work to begin preparing for the changes that this will bring. With the initial changes being made to SongodaCore, EpicSpawners, and UltimateStacker. We are already in early testing for both of these plugins with the changes for compatibility and will work to complete the conversions of these plugins as well as the rest of our plugin lines ahead of the release of Minecraft 1.17. The recode for EpicAnchors is also coming along, and should soon be in the initial stages of beta testing, and with it, more functionality and a few new features to the plugin.

Over at the Marketplace Team, as some of you may have seen by now, JustMaffie has been promoted to the position of Marketplace Manager, while Fran has been promoted to Director of Web Operations for Songoda. JustMaffie and Fran have both shown unwavering dedication and excellent work with the marketplace, and we know they will continue to provide the same top quality of work in their new positions.

Over at the Marketplace Development Team, a new report system has recently been added to the website, and that allows us to better moderate the marketplace with help from you the community. Our developers are hard at work on perfecting this system as well as some other new features that we know you will love.

Over at the Plugin Support Team, we have been hard at work to reduce the number of support tickets that have been piling up during the exam period, and with the start of the summer period, we expect the remaining backlogged tickets to soon be responded to.

And just a reminder for our patrons, movie nights have been resumed and will be available throughout the summer period, so we can all hang out as a community while watching great movies. More details will soon be available on how you can participate in them if you don’t already.
