Progress on beach level + Sketches for a hub world
Added 2023-06-08 19:22:02 +0000 UTCWe've got some more progress on the beach level to share. We've added a little clothing store area where there are NPCs who are working, and other NPCs who are browsing through the clothes.
There's also some new NPCs with some new animations on the beach. Rodrigo hasn't committed these changes to the GitHub repo yet, so I just took a screenshot of the video he sent me on discord for these.
And the last two pictures are some sketches Nogam made for a hub world. We saw a lot of suggestions from the last video that people wanted a hub world in the museum, or just a hub world in general. So we starting working out a hub world, where you can access all the game modes from the main menu. We'll also have it so that you can press a button to bring up the normal main menu so that you can just press a few buttons to get to a different mode instead of having to run over in the hub world.
We also want the hub world to be able to be shared online with friends, so it'll act like a pre game lobby as well. You'll be able to see some different trophies and costumes that the host has earned. There are also different things to interact with like a jump quest, and a playground area.
