β˜„οΈ Would you look at that!

We'll have enough poetry to read for at least a few years πŸ˜‚ I may have overdone it... but I didn't expect every single book in my wishlist to be bought! Thank you Aura, Haru and Houzi for getting me all of these. Isn't the Emily Dickinson the most beautiful book you've ever seen? 😍

This will be an enjoyable few years then

Nice! I am not familiar the work of Baudelaire, myself. From what I've heard it's a bit spicy. 😏 I can't wait to hear it!

Deffinetly not getting those butterflys out of your everything with those ones 😍

I'm looking forward to the Flowers of Evil because I keep hearing about this one and I've never read it!

Oh no! How will my insomnia ever recover? Congratulations, Storm! Which ones are you excited to read first? I do love the Dickenson cover. The contrast of the dark blue background with the bright hues of the flowers and birds creates a sense of calm. It reminds me of a antique botanist's journal. The Flowers of Evil cover has an opposite effect, creating an energetic mood as Aura and anubis_phoenix181 described. However, I cannot ignore the compilation of Poe's work. I admire the complexity of its detail, but I also like how it incorporates a large amount of negative space, as though shrouding the cover in darkness. Then again, I am also a sucker for Poe. I look forward to hearing these beautiful works in your beautiful voice. A nice opportunity to dust off my poetry analysis skills (that is, if I can stay awake). 😁

Definitely not short of reading material. However, the cover for "The Flowers of Evil" is so deceiving with that pink background. I have not read his work before, and wouldn't mind hearing you share a poem from the book.

That one is pretty cool too indeed!

Now this is what happiness looks like. πŸ€πŸ“š

Luna

yayyyyyyyy so many poems ^-^ β™₯️ i am excited to hear you read them

Haru

A wonderful sight to see them all laid out together! The Emily Dickinson volume is definitely gorgeous but what struck me at first sight was Les fleurs du Mal. Those nigh fluorescent hues grabbed my attention so fast. 🀩 Also, there's never too much! 🀭

Aura

With you soft voice? Perfect to go to sleep!

KenSeiei

Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allan Poe? Talk about some classics! Those + your voice = borderline perfection
