ohhh okay so it was a known thing that Hop was back, i do remember them saying "the American" but like he literally got disintegrated, absolutely vaporized, so i never thought there was a chance he'd survive lol but lets goo im curious to see how he survived !

2022-09-19 20:20:16 +0000 UTCI agree this was the best Ep 1 of the series! Love the new mystery & the darker tone. Digging the Nightmare On Elm Street & IT vibes. There’s an explanation for the whole David Harbour / Hopper thing. So we all knew he was coming back at the end of Season 3. Remember in the post credits scene when the Russian guards were told to feed a prisoner to the Demogorgon but “not the American?” Hop was the American they were referring to. Also they officially revealed his return in a teaser way back in 2020 so it was never meant to be a surprise. But I like that you didn’t pick up on that bc it made for a better reaction. I hate that the ST reactions will be ending soon too. That’s partly why I suggested going to 1x a week for S4 (even tho I loved having 2 a week) so it would last longer lol.
