My friends, let me present 3 shades of OD! 😁
I decided to play with different tones considering the tank had several components mounted at different times.
For the tank, I used the same OD combo from AK RC, so dark OD and Faded OD, and then lightened it with Tamiya Dark Yellow.
For the water drum, I used the same AK combo, but lightened with Buff. I made it very pale as it came from an older tank (possibly M3 Stuart?)
And for the chimney stacks I used light grey for the highlights.
OD is a wonderful paint because it really faded into all these colors, so there’s plenty to choose from! The yellow highlight on the tank will also play nicely with the sand-colored camouflage on the turret. That’s the most intimidating part for now, as I’ll probably apply it with a brush just like on the real tank and try to post-shade it afterwards.
Also, the model is very glossy right now, so it’s hard to properly capture all the color variation 😊
