Ready for paints... at last!

My friends, this build has been plagued by many things... an unexpectedly complex build (even though I was sure it was going to be a simple brick on tracks), PE armor which became a model on its own, broken soldering iron, vacation (I planned to finish the model and the video before I left - what a fool I was!), and lastly, another house remodelling session, this time the staircase.

But having the model all built up and everything kept in reasonable subassemblies - the turret, hull, and the tracks - I'm now very stoked for painting. When you think about it, the vehicle looks completely different from the front and from the back, and it's not just about shape, but also textures. Anti-slip coating on the front, SLAT armor in the back. And it's gonna be very interesting to see how it all behaves under a coat of paint.

The paint job is gonna be the standard NATO scheme with a good amount of post-shading and subtle (although I'll try to make it interesting) weathering. I decided to construct and attach the pallet and rag camouflage once the vehicle is painted. But first... video editing time!

"Anti-slip coating on the front, SLAT armor in the back."... made me think of "Anti-slip coating in the streets, SLAT armor in the sheets"
