so after another sickness break (ughhh) I have some more stuff for you. Have some non-fiction, a small editorial on Transmisogyny

Non-Fiction: What Is Transmisogyny?

The social difference is likely _exacerbated_ by Oppositional Sexism, not caused. There are many different ways in which humans with different bodies will likely be treated socially. In a world without gender norms? It's not impossible trans people will simply request some physical changes. But for now, we live in a world that DOES have a lot of those differences, and trans people don't emphasize the difference between men and women so much as create distance between themselves and the gender they were ASSIGNED, which is a survival strategy.

Of course. I was just going with your oversimplification there. Still, it seems to me that trans people tend to (over?)emphasize the differences between men and women, and gloss over the things we all have in common. Which is probably understandable from their perspective - they have to go great lengths to be accepted as the gender they feel they are, after all. Socially, there still is a huge difference between genders, although it seems to be shrinking slowly. But isn't this social difference mostly caused by the oppositional sexism you're calling out? If society ever manages to get rid of it, how much difference between genders will be left?

there is a difference between "men aren't the same as women" and "there is zero overlap between men and women, from a biological, emotional or mental standpoint"

"Oppositional Sexism can be summarized thusly: Men ≠ Women." Isn't being trans based on the same general assumption in a way? If men and women are (mostly) the same, why bother with assigning a gender to yourself, let alone transitioning? I would prefer to live in a gender-blind society, but I wonder how many trans people would be comfortable with it. Imagine coming out with "HEY, I'M A WOMAN!" and getting reactions like "Meh, who cares, gender is so last century. You're still the same you." Better than being bullied by transphobiacs, I guess, but still ... ;-)
