TUESDAY BLOG: MAN'S DADDY UPDATE/HALLOWEEN

Hello, you lot. Belated happy-start-to-the-week. Been busy the last couple of days. Nothing exciting, just pushing my face into the work grinder. 

So, we know what we’re doing for our Halloween ep – which hopefully we’ll film later this week, this weekend or early next, so you should have it next week. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long, long time – no ghosts!

We were going to do one about witches, but the research started to get a bit grim and heavy, and there’s been enough of that recently. We want this to be a blast of arrant nonsense. Yes: might see an old favourite or two crop up as well. Place your bets.

In other news… I can’t remember if I mentioned this, but I’m still working on the Man’s Daddy joke book. Actually, now I’m writing this… it sounds familiar. Perhaps I did mention it…

No, wait – I started doing an update on Monday then got sidetracked.

Anyway. I want there to be a lot of new jokes, but I don’t just want to churn it out, so I’m trying to make them as good as they can be. I’m writing a handful each day. I’m probably not going to feature every single joke from the previous editions – just the best ones – and there’ll be a new introduction and a few other sections too.

We were going to see if we could get it out in time for Christmas, but I’m not sure we’ll be able to get it done in time.

We’ll also likely be doing it as a pre-order, so that we can get an idea of numbers. We’ll need a minimum of 100 orders to make it feasible (obviously, everyone will be refunded if we don’t reach that). 

We’re certainly not doing a new crowd-funder until Digi Level 2 is done and dusted (if ever), but this is slightly different in that there won’t be tiers or rewards. Literally just the book. Maybe we’ll offer both signed and unsigned editions. Dunno.

Our main priority now is getting Digi Level 2 finished. We’ve one more main channel video to get done after the Halloween ep – the one I keep banging on about (filmed the Freemason interview for that last week) – then we’re all in on DL2, with a view to getting them out for December. Sanja will soon begin the editing of Drong’s Challenge for next year.

That’s about it for now. There’s another blog on its way for the upper tiers, recounting some oddness I’ve had happen this week...
