Space Colony WIP
Added 2021-12-10 18:11:50 +0000 UTCWhew, I got ambitious with this one. Since the completion of Hyper Echelon I feel a sense of freedom to get lost in my art like I haven't felt in years. I'm sure it won't be long before I'm involved in more mega projects again, so I'm making the best of my current creative freedom.
Intended to be a Pixelmotion scene, this is still WIP. In the progress gif you can see how I've built out the image over the week, with each phase representing a day's session. The planet in the background is still a bit rough, but I'm almost done with the static elements. As for the process, I'm just using pure form and designing from my head. However, I am using references to help with the planet.
Once I finish the static elements, it's on to animation. I plan to utilize After Effects for greater animation possibilities, and score a soundtrack as well. Furthermore, I plan to release the final version next Friday, instead of some random content, although I may still push out another piece if I finish this earlier than expected. Feeling inspired!
