From time to time, I do many other things "than just photos of women in lingerie" (as many people mistakenly think is the only thing I do.. π) - and one of the genres I in fact do quite a lot of, is promotional material for musical artists. βΊοΈ (But don't worry; there will be tons of more photos etc of ladies.. πππ₯)
These kind of shoots varies much in style and setting, since there has to be some sort of DNA in the photos and the music. It has to work both separately but as a unity too. π€π»
Therefore, the first thing I always ask the artists which I'm about to do photos of, to let me hear their works, their music & their wishes. π€
This young fella named David (who happens to be a friend of mine, by the way!) has started this project, in which his goal is to release an EP before turning 40! π₯³πͺπ»
He is a singer / songwriter with a modern twist but the soul of an old man.
He wanted some "ok fresh, but casually cool looking portraits" for his project - and only knew he didn't wanted to do it in a studio.
I paid him a visit and suggested we went with a 'walk-and-shoot' approach, with a flash. I used the Canon R5 and attached the GODOX V1 PRO flash, which made it possible to work smoothly both indoor and outdoor. πππ»
Honestly I don't know what more to tell you, which is kind of ironic since I really dig this kind of shoots - and I personally find them super interesting, but technically there's not much to report. ππ€·π»ββοΈ
ANYWAY..
As always: Please feel free to ask away about whatever you want to know about this shoot! βΊοΈ Technical stuff, practical stuff, tips or tricks - or simply just let me know what you think. π₯³ππ»
