As requested by one of my patrons , here is a video showing my layers! I hope it explains itself a bit but if you have any questions about it don’t hesitate to ask me 😊

Peek into my layers

Comments

If I understand your question correctly, I have a base layer where I shade on & blur usually at the same time ! You can see it on my speedpaints https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdIxobUMw1o&t=62s

This video effectively answers most of my questions about how to best manage and make use of folders and how various elements (eyes, skin, clothing, etc.) are layered without a single word being said. It was extremely helpful to me. Thank you for recording and sharing it! 😊 I do have a few related questions I would like to ask. First, when building shading elements (hair, skin, eyes, etc.), do you find it better to add all the associated color layers first and then apply the editing tools (eraser, blend, blur, etc.), or to apply the editing tools as you create each color layer, or does it depend? Second, on your left menu bar in CSP, there are two brush symbols with a purple and orange coloring, are these custom brush sets or something else? Finally, I noticed that your menu bar does not show the pen tool, which made me wonder about my own brush selections for sketches and line art. For my own work, I have been using the watercolor brush for rough sketches, the designer pencil for cleaner sketches, and the G-pen for line art. I base this upon nothing other than what made sense to me at the time. Are there alternative options that you generally favor for these three key tasks? Thanks!
