Direct linking of files
Added 2020-08-09 21:44:56 +0000 UTCHello wonderful supporters. I'm working on direct file linking for Patreon supporters. With this feature you will be able to link / embed files directly without going through the file viewer.
Files which are direct linked won't count any views, because of this they would hit the bandwidth limit per file pretty quickly. To solve this I will add a monthly bandwidth limit per user / IP address which will cap the amount of bandwidth that direct-linked files can use. This limit will be sufficiently high that you will normally never be able to reach it. The size of the limit will depend on your support tier. You'll be able to see how much bandwidth you have used in the month on your home page. Maybe I'll add some nice graphs to the mix as well, just for fun.
I will also be adding a €4 support tier because the gap between €2 and €8 is pretty wide. I can understand that some people will be scared off by that.
