Smallville Season 8 Episode 18

This one had alot of shit so don't hate me for not getting all of it immediately. Lionel knew a hell of alot more than i thought and he did Davis dirty. Speaking of which this character gets more interesting by the episode.

don’t worry about the confusion bro, this episode has weird retcons to the smallville lore. i think it’s understandable

I preferred 17 over this one, Yea i get this one continued the season arc but I found 17 more fun and relayed less on exposition than this one. How many times did Tess say their was two boys that fell down that day it felt like a lot LOL

Erick Zetino

Not really, she got handed everyone's notes over the 8 years.

Totally get being confused. Is an exposition dump episode, and something that happened in season 8 is that it feels the show kinda assumes you're a bit familiar with stuff from the comics. There are many call backs that , if you honestly know nothing of Superman, would fall flat. I think the earlier seasons managed that a bit better, cause there were people that watched the show without knowing it was about Superman. Don't worry about being confused dude, it's cool.

Is absurd Tess figures it out in one season what lex did in 8, The greatest criminal mind in his own words in the superman movie LOL. My hearts breaks for Davis, I know what he did to jimmy but still I can’t hate him. The more tragic villain of SV.

Emilia Leidich

I dont blame him for being confused I mean this was a lore dump heavy episode not really a fave of mine but necessary to keep the story going.

Erick Zetino

He mentioned in the post that he might've missed some stuff and asked for you not to put him down.

I can't wait for season 9 and10, hes going to love it. P.S love the vids

2 things buddy... 1..Smoke the dobbie AFTER Smallville....2 Smallville is LIVE action COMICS...don't try to make it like the real world. Anything can happen in Comic books and Soap Opera's..you will enjoy it much more that way.

Kevin summed up Doomsday pretty well. He can't be hurt/killed the same way more than once. The entire purpose for why he was created was to literally be unstoppable with no weakness. In the comics Doomsday doesnt have a sentient human side at all, he's just a mindless killing monster. This show wanted to make him like the Hulk for some reason (I can't explain what that reason is till after the season is over). As for why he doesn't have Kryptonian powers, it's basically like asking why the flu shot doesn't give you the flu (I know some people think it does but it has been scientifically debunked). Technically the flu shot is made FROM the flu germ but tailored in a way that fights against the flu in the human immune system. Davis was made from Kryptonian DNA but he isn't a real Kryptonian and was designed to destroy any life ESPECIALLY a Kryptonian like Clark (same way the flu shot attacks the flu germ even though that's what it was made from). How is Tess losing it? She is literally figuring everything out. Lex thought he did but he contorted it to suit his view of the world. Lionel knew the truth AFTER AI Jor-El told him. Tess is seeing everything for what it is on her own. I think the writing is trying to say that she is accomplishing what Lex and Lionel couldnt, deciphering the truth of the Kryptonian clues at her disposal in a way that is not constrewed by her personal desires or views.

Tess: *spends literally an entire scene explaining how she had no idea Davis was anything more than human and that she was literally just trying to kill him* Devlin: *yells about how Tess was testing some theory by trying to blow Davis up just to see if it would kill him* Bro, you are kinda slow lol. Sometimes I feel like you aren't even understanding the words that are coming out of characters' mouths, or aren't absorbing it or something..... It's no wonder you are so confused about everything if even one scene can't get into your head haha. And Davis has the same powers as Doomsday in the comics. He's immortal because he can't die the same way twice. When he is killed one way, he comes back to life and can't be killed that way again because he's designed to evolve and adapt quickly. So he can't be stabbed/penetrated anymore, he can't be blown up/hurt by heat anymore, and he can't be killed by Kryptonite anymore. Davis is just Doomsday's sentient camouflage that accidentally developed emotions.
