yeah most clana shippers lost interest in the ship midway through the show especially once lois joins the cast

2020-04-06 20:57:45 +0000 UTCDelvin’s reaction to the CLANA scene in the hospital compared to the little CLOIS mentioned by Chloe to Clark. HAHAHAHA! Same Delvin..SAME. BUT.. I also understand Clark’s confusion.. with such a complicated yet lingering love story that is CLANA. It’s hard for both of them to find proper closure or to figure out if they want to make it work or not. The more and more Clark embraces his destiny as well as Lana going on her own path, the more they are drifting apart. Granted Lana is now even more involved by trying to help/protect Clark. Their destinies seem to be going on different paths and they have different opinions. I agree with some of the comments on here, that line of Lana saying “what if the rest of the world didn’t have to come first?” I’m like NOOO Lana.. Clark was put on earth to protect and save everybody from evil by his real parents. Yeah I understand that even heroes needs a dose of normalcy in life, but as a girlfriend you have to understand he has a greater destiny than you. That means that Lana is totally holding him back to fulfilling what he’s meant to be, especially at this point in their lives. That’s why it could never work for CLANA... and it gets clearer and clearer every time CLANA has a scene together. Keep it up Delvin, you still have 10 more episodes to go! Let’s go!!

I think it has its place in Superman history, In the comics Lana is supposed to be the first love and the chance Clark had to just have a normal, sweet life in Smallville. But either he decides to do more with his life or feels it's his responsability, he's supposed to move to Metropolis. In the comics Lois never comes first, the world (no matter how hard it can be) comes first, but Superman always finds a way to save the world and his loved ones. And Lois gets this in a way Lana can't (Lana always suffers because Clark is always "at work") but Lois gets it because she also has a calling, to find out the truth and fight to make the world a better place. That's why Clois works so well in the comics, because at the end of the day they are people that use their gifts for good and understand the "mission" comes first, but they are still people and decide to spend their life together, and both of them respect each other and their place in the world. That's why I love Clois so much in the source material.
