I used to think this but upon rewatching you can tell that most of it is senseless violence. When Floch tryed to burn down the whole of Liberio and Eren positioned himself under a block of civilian housing to cause maximum destruction when he transformed is cold and senseless. Having Armin eat Bertholdt was calculated retaliation for means of survival, going into Marley and killing as many people as possible, military or not is terrorism. I’m not saying they should lay down and wait for Marley to attack again I’m just stating that, like Jon says, it’s hard to support the Jaegerists and I’ve come to realise this more as I’m rewatching the 4th season for the third time now.

Did you recognise what the Pistols the Yeagerists were holding look similar to?.. Yeah.. they really went there. Here we go..

I’m not sure whether it’s a more naive part of me that resonates with Eren and the jaegerists and makes me support them fully due to me being over 3 years younger when I first watched this season. Because re-watching along with you JD and your input makes it seem, as you say, a lot more difficult to choose who’s ’right’ in their actions. But as I say there’s a part of me that just feels satisfaction for everything that happens to Marley and I’m still finding it very hard to not side with the Jaegerists despite them being full on terrorists.

I’m so glad you enjoyed and appreciated this as an incredibly written episode and one of the best. So many planted seeds finally bloom and converge into this tragic confrontation where, as you said, everyone has their own legit moral reason for feeling the way they do. Throw on top of that the wine reveal and the Jaegerists knowing about it, plus Eren casually showing up and confronting his friends with Gabby in the same room; madness, this time of the un-“measured” type, is coming!

Mr Braus is a man I aspire to be wow- still gets me after like 7 watches. Just apply to your own lives and imagine someone killed your child and you just found out that they were someone you were helping. To have the poise & rationality to articulate your thoughts, not act out emotionally and still ask the killer if 'they were ok or hurt'. Wow... I just know he must've been dying inside. I don't know if I could do that
