2024-01-09 01:16:23 +0000 UTCAs others have mentioned the animators were on an insane crunch for this part of the season hence the reduction in animation quality (I think I heard at the time there were some episodes being "finished" literally an hour or two before airing?). They fix a LOT of issues in the Blu-Rays though and I think it ends up looking pretty great in the end.

You can tell Mappa wasn't used to certain things about the show and its tiny details when they picked it up from WIT after the first 3 seasons. They hop in their mf bag from part 2 to the finale though.
