Last art for this year! It's fitting that it should be Orym (and yeah, I'm aware that chances of that weren't too low!), the little 3'3'' guy who in spite of hardship, loss and cynicism never lost his kind little heart. <3 It's safe to say this emotional support halfling carried me through a lot of 2022.
For those not watching Critical Role, this scene had me alternatingly in hysterics and in a puddle of goo. Orym, just after the Wildmother blessed his sword, gifts Chetney a little wooden wolf he carved himself. Chetney, 400-year-old gnomish toy maker and master craftsman, tells him (in the best of faith) that the gift is awful, badly made and not even fit for a paperweight, and should never be shown to any of the others lest they lose all respect for Orym - and from there, it gets cuter every moment. Here's the direct link to the scene. (They're keeping Chetney handcuffed at night so he doesn't go full-on werewolf on them again.)
I wish you all a Happy New Year, your personal emotional support halfling (or otherwise) and generally, a better year than 2022.
(I *still* haven't found my calendar even though I cleared up my room, and begin to think I accidentally gave away all the artist's copies I had =O)
