Vax/Gilmore lineart, and Fingon and Celebrimbor colouring in progress
Added 2022-05-26 07:06:04 +0000 UTCYup, I'm somehow doing three pictures at the same time AND I'm also marking Latin exams in between and I'm feeling pretty accomplished.
Toned paper is SO MUCH FUN. Not sure if it'll work for the Vax/Gilmore one, as the lineart tends to be swallowed if worked over by coloured pencil - so you either have to work around the lines or bring them out again later with an eraser, which is fine for an Elven eye or mouth, but I do NOT want to do it with all those art nouveau border flowers! I'll keep thinking about that.

All three pieces are amazing! I love how affectionate Vax and Gilmore are - Art Deco seems so fitting for them, somehow. Celebrimbor looks so contemplative, almost sad - is he focusing on a tricky bit of metalwork, or is he thinking about how the other genius(es) in his family ended up? And of course I always love a badass Fingon - he looks so wary here; I just want to give him a hug!
