I'm slightly wary of posting this on Facebook/Twitter. There has been such a lot of weird stuff going on in the comments on the last dormice - from telling me what these actually were (Redwall, beavers, rats, squirrels, chipmunks, Reepicheep), to clamours on EVERY piece to do ALL the counterparts (Wellington, Watson, Hermione, Yennefer, every single doctor), to lectures on all sort of stuff from Napoleon's height to archaeological theft and Inktober/Jake Parker drama (some serious next level mansplaining).
I feel tired. Can't people just enjoy dressed-up mice like every normal person?

Your dormice are so lovely, it's always a pleasure to see them on my feeds <3 If those people can enjoy nice things, that's really too bad, but we can do nothing for them !

I think in five years of Patreon, I have received only a tiny handful of comments that went against the grain (and even those were never mean-spirited in any way). I feel very blessed, and spoiled, to have such a fun platform to share my silly little micies!

2020-10-19 21:57:00 +0000 UTCWell, I think "stop being opinionated" is antonymous to the very idea of Facebook. But right now, it seems all the comments are just fine. Phew. I find it helps to make the caption extra silly; people do seem to think twice before holding forth Important Opinions when the caption contains "RASPBERRIES!"
