Then when Fingon heard afar the great trumpet of Turgon his brother, the shadow passed and his heart was uplifted, and he shouted aloud: ‘Utúlie’n aurë! Aiya Eldalië ar Atanatári, utúlie’n aurë! The day has come! Behold, people of the Eldar and Fathers of Men, the day has come!’ And all those who heard his great voice echo in the hills answered crying: ‘Auta i lómë! The night is passing!’

I love blues and golds so much! When I was a kid, my princesses always had dresses of blue and gold. Well, as long as I drew princesses. Hannibal didn't work in blue and gold. ;) Normally, all the light blue I use in any of my pieces will be Ultramarine; for this one, I switched completely to Cerulean Blue, which is warmer and softer - and I love the way it affects the golden light here.
I absolutely love how this one turned out, and I'm pretty sure I have never drawn a more handsome elf, and certainly no more handsome Fingon. The bar is high for a Maedhros/Fingon piece!
Prints are up on Etsy! <3 Original is for sale. I think. Possibly. ;)
