I love this stage of a painting.

I find that watercolour has no "ugly stage", such as oil or acrylic, when you have the muddy middle grounds in place and begin to detail with darks and whites. Watercolour gets more and more beautiful as it progresses.
Unless you ruin it, of course. XD
