2026-01-28 04:38:32 +0000 UTCFor me none of these solos beat their individual predecessors from last year, but Karina & Winter come the closest for me. With Blue I felt very similiar to you PD, it took me a bit to really feel and understand the meaning of the song but when it clicked i loved it! Good Stuff instantly hit for me & yes it was very much needed after the lighter sound from the rest of the songs. I thought it was impossible for Karina to release something that would even come close to Up and even though I still prefer Up, Good Stuff is really close to being on the same level for me. Tornado is a nice song and very coherent but honestly, I had forgotten what it sounds like since I havent listened to it for a while now. Ningning is my bias since aespa debuted but somehow her solos never click as much for me as the others. While i still really enjoyed Bored!, Ketchup And Lemonade just straight is not the type of song I enjoy. It's exactly what you mentioned, you can hear that too many people worked on this and it has no clear direction, both musically and lyrically. So overall my ranking would look like this: 1. Good Stuff 2. Blue 3.Tornado 4. Ketchup & Lemonade

It was beautiful and in my opinion very moving. ningning def brought it to life! Also I feel the same with the ketchup and lemonade line. The song should’ve played on the metaphor itself, or take it out/rephrase it to connect the other metaphors more. It’s like a here damn lyric like someone asked to add the title on the song. Oh I feel like a good example for what it could’ve been potential wise is American Wedding by Frank ocean. (It’s only on Apple Music as a “unreleased” song)
