What to expect from the next update
Added 2020-03-28 15:56:46 +0000 UTCHi everyone, I've managed to clear up a bit of time to work on the game amidst all the turmoil, and I thought I'd let you in on the things I have planned for the next update!
- Three separate channels for say, ooc, and emote messages in local chat. Say will be affected by speech impediments, while occ and emote will automatically format and color-code your messages to make it easier to see words from actions in RP.
- Lactation spell
- Hucow pandemic event.
- Hostile NPC encounters when under certain effects. Say, with the new lactation trait you might be assaulted by maidens in the Arboretum who will forcefully help you out with your bounty.
- Hostile NPC encounters where they may conjure items onto your character. I wish for this to be the source of learning new item appearances for a maid outfit and hucow costume, and it also serves as the first step towards having conjuration spells for players!
The basic idea for the hucow pandemic is that you don't discover the spell normally, instead you contract it from a hucow NPC you can encounter while roaming, and after some turns you will start to lactate uncontrollably. You can also contract the effect from other players while they are affected. After some days ingame you will recover, learn the spell, become immune to the infectious effects, and you will no longer spread the effects either.
I'll do what I for all these ideas to make it into the next update, and I will post my progress in the backer discord channel. Your feedback is very welcome as always.
