As this is the current track for Ian, we might be delayed in getting files out this week. When Irma came through and hit to the south of us, I was unlucky right at the outset—literally about an hour after winds arrived we lost power because a tree fell into a powerline on my street. When the crew came by to assess the power, they missed that they could've made a simple temporary connection and so we were one of the last groups to get power restored. We were only about 15 houses in a group and they had to run new lines so it took a week to get to us. Other than that, thankfully, there weren't any issues. Sev always has to evacuate, but he got lucky then because the surge came in during low tide.
So again, Sev has to evacuate and there's still a lot of trees in my neighborhood—Tampa is apparently the most tree-covered city in the world. So....we'll see how it goes. Hopefully Irma took out all of the weak trees. Cross your fingers for us and if you know an Ian, tell him to calm it down!
