Monthly elements

Hi everyone! As current Patrons, we want to get your opinion on something. We've always had our files be monthly, expiring after the end of the next month (although, we've also not been super rigid about that, as you've probably noticed). We've always felt that doing that made it the most fair for our patrons so that if you've been with us for a year, you've gotten and paid for a full year of content. We felt it was unfair for people to come along later, and get everything that someone else has paid for. But we realize that a lot of creators just leave everything up. And with the way Patreon advertises it, it seems like there's tons of stuff available so it ends up being something we have to explain sometimes.

Anyway, we've started to change our opinion on it, so our question is this: would you be fine with us leaving all of the monthly files, project files, etc. available to you as long as you're a patron? Feel free to leave comments as well. We'll leave this poll up for a week! Thank you for your time!

Agreed! I'll go back through as soon as I have a moment, and make sure all of the links have codes attached so you will have access to all of them once more! Also, thanks for being so understanding.

Oh it's completely my fault for not downloading right away! However Daniel brings up a great point, that sometimes elements in older releases could prove useful for a current project!

Christian Prieto

Very true. That's kind of why we've been thinking about it. Plus we tend to build on things, and so having access to older things makes sense too.

Thank you for your comment. It seems like most people aren't abusing things, which is nice. We're glad to have such a great community!

Workbench

Aw man, definitely let me know if that happens! We're not trying to be stingy! :)

I believe leaving them up is good so new patrons can access the backlog like a lot of other patreons do. Plus, new people might find that “aha!” Moment in an older elements pack when they open them later on.

I agree to leave them up. You guys are the best meter of potential abuse from other patrons. That said, I firmly believe your product is great and those who need it use it respectfully. You’ll have more to gain from letting your work stand.

Andrew Shaw

I vote to leave them up. There have been many times I don’t download the files right away, only to find that they’re unavailable when I do go to download. Thanks for asking!
