dev diary: down but not out
Added 2023-10-10 10:47:20 +0000 UTCthis post is gonna be firmly in the diary side rather than game updates, so i'll summarize where i'm at development-wise first:
- another piece of candy is on hiatus until december 6th, but i will be working on building a backlog of updates so i'll post those here (maybe starting next week?)
- public SAS update is still planned for halloween, about half of the translations are finished already (yay!)
- i'm going serious-mode on treat 8 for the rest of the year to make sure i can release the first half before the end of december
- i planned on doing another starry flowers comic for november but i don't want to force myself if i'm not feeling it, so i might kick it further down the line (tragic!!! oof!!!!)
- i've been making web versions of some of my older games this week since web builds don't take much work at all and allow more people to play them (yay ren'py web, it's so good!!)
that's about it, i have some other stuff pending that i can't quite announce yet, and underling plushies are shipping out this month so that's awesome! the rest of this post is just feelings and thoughts, so feel free to skip.

to end this on a lighter note, i had a really lovely time with my friend who was visiting from out of town this past week, and we played through disgaea 7 (the latest game in my favorite series!) and it was amazing ;_; i really needed the break and i feel great and less anxious than i was before. i don't want anyone to worry about me too much, because i'm okay and doing my best to take care of myself.
i gotta take my friend to the airport tomorrow, so i'm getting in bed now! thanks for reading <3

Take your time, take some time off, do things at your own pace. At the end of the day we will be here to support you. I really enjoyed your recent game jam and making a web version does make a difference because I can play it on my packed train (somehow that thematically aligned). It's ok to take a break, don't rush anything or stress yourself over it.
