Hi Everyone,
This is the final lesson for Diminished and Augmented Triads and its a fun one! Learn how to play a fun little chord ditty using Major, Minor, Diminished and Augmented triads. Watch the video for a helpful breakdown of which fingers to use where, then start practicing at a slow tempo (say 40 or 50Bpm) and move up to a faster tempo as you feel comfortable.

I have officially graduated now from MTG! Yea!! Thank you Scott for these wonderful lessons. I am truly amazed with how much I have learned and now KNOW. The "Note Circle" diagram you cover in the first MTM lesson is a great summary of these seven lessons too. 2022-10-30 09:59:40 +0000 UTCIt is a particular humbling lesson. The finger position changes look simple in tab form, but are surprisingly hard to perform in a timely fashion. I also learned that my alternate picking sucks, lol. Not moving on until I can play this along with Scott in the video using perfect alternate picking.

Up until this point I’ve had good success learning and then doing but for some reason this one is really giving me a hard time. I’ve kind of refused to move on until I get this one under my fingers a bit better but man its in my head! Lol

I'd say check out my recommended lesson plan and see what looks most interesting to you: https://www.scottpauljohnson.com/scotts-recommended-lesson-plan I think you might like CAGED Basics, but if you're eager to get some bigger music theory concepts, go for MTM

You covered 7th and 9th (etc) very well in Music Theory Monday and I feel there's a subject in Sus that we haven't hit on yet. Love your stuff and thanks as always !
