Update Date Announcement + Early Access Giveaway 💖

Heeello, Text-Your-Lifers! The end of November is approaching, and with it… A new TYL update! 🥳 We have been working hard to maintain the date we set for ourselves, and we did it! (Although after a couple of panic attacks 🤯 and many sleepless hours 😴).​

Here are the dates! 📅:

• Early access (Patreon): All our patrons in the Pizza Menu tier will have priority access to the update on November 29th 🍕.

• Public update: A month later, the rest of the players will be able to access the new content. That is, on December 29th! 🎄 On both Itchio and Steam.

WHAT WILL TYL VERSION 1.3 INCLUDE?

🐛💥 Important bug fixes: We have corrected several critical bugs that were causing significant problems. Some of them had us completely desperate until now, but we have finally solved them! (You can now forget about the crazy percentages on the Stats screen hehe 🤪). However, this entails a small problem… We'll tell you about it at the end of this post.

✨ ​ Some changes: We will explain more about this when the update day arrives, but we have made small aesthetic changes, and also added some interesting little things that will help you have a better gaming experience (continue button, already seen options marked, better access to history…).

📖 ​Story content: Chapter 3 is added in full! What will happen neeeeext? 🤔 Haha. For now, we can give you a small preview of what it contains:

📜 35,000 words added! It’s a loooong chapter. And we have really enjoyed writing so much DRAMA! 💔

🤔⏳ 260 options, and 1 hour and 30 minutes of added playtime for each playthrough. It is a VERY replayable chapter, so we recommend you do it to be able to see all the routes that are already poking their little heads out with this update! Hihi.

😮 An interesting conversation with Lucas, which will reveal certain things he has kept well hidden until now.

🎭 Rebeca's unforgettable audition, with... a final surprise?

🫣 A night alone at home that goes from terrifying to something more.

And now... the bad news 😥:

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: TIME TO START FROM SCRATCH⚠️

Due to the nature of a particularly annoying bug that we have had to solve (one that affected friendship and romance percentages, and personality bars), all players must start a new game from the beginning with this update. 🚫💾

We understand that this is a pain, and we sincerely apologize for making you start over. This bug prevented the game from keeping track of the specific variables that will let you (or prevent you from) entering certain routes with certain male characters. Therefore, you would not have been able to enjoy the correct parts of the narrative in chapter 3. We are so sorry, guys! 😭

​Again, we will explain the steps you should follow on the day of the update to restart the game from scratch and ensure that the old information that has been saved does not end up messing up your new game.

¡Hooooola, Text-Your-Lifers! Se acerca el final de noviembre y, con él… ¡Nueva actualización de TYL! 🥳 Hemos estado trabajando duro para conseguir mantener la fecha que nos propusimos, ¡y lo hemos logrado! (Aunque después de un par de ataques de pánico 🤯 y muchas horas sin dormir 😴).

¡Aquí os dejamos las fechas! 📅:

• Acceso anticipado (Patreon): todos nuestros patreons del nivel Pizza Menu tendrán acceso prioritario a la actualización el 29 de noviembre 🍕.

• Actualización pública: Un mes después, el resto de jugadores podrá acceder al nuevo contenido. Es decir, ¡el 29 de diciembre! 🎄 Tanto en Itchio como en Steam.

¿QUÉ INCLUIRÁ LA VERSIÓN 1.3 DE TYL?

🐛💥 ​Arreglos de errores importantes: Hemos corregido varios bugs críticos que estaban causando problemas significativos . Algunos de ellos nos han tenido completamente desesperadas hasta ahora, ¡pero por fin les hemos puesto solución! (Ya podéis olvidaros de los porcentajes locos en la pantalla de Info jeje 🤪). Sin embargo, esto conlleva un problemilla… Os lo contamos al final de este post.

✨ ​Pequeñas novedades: Os explicaremos más sobre esto cuando llegue el día de la actualización, pero hemos realizado pequeños cambios estéticos, y también añadido algunas cositas interesantes que ayudarán a tener una mejor experiencia de juego (botón de continuar, opciones ya vistas marcadas, mejor acceso al historial…). 

📖 ​Contenido de historia: ¡Se añade el Capítulo 3 por completo!  ¿Qué pasará, qué pasarááá? 🤔 De momento, os podemos hacer un pequeño adelanto de lo que contiene:

📜 ¡35.000 palabras añadidas! Es un capítulo larguíiiisimo. ¡Y hemos disfrutado muchísimo escribiendo tantísimo DRAMA! 💔

⚠️ AVISO IMPORTANTE: TOCA EMPEZAR DESDE CERO ⚠️

Debido a la naturaleza de un bug especialmente fastidioso que hemos tenido que solucionar (uno que afectaba a los porcentajes de amistad y romance, y a las barras de personalidad), todos los jugadores deberán iniciar una partida nueva desde el principio con esta actualización. 🚫💾

Entendemos que esto es un fastidio, y os pedimos disculpas sinceras por tener que haceros empezar de nuevo. Este bug impedía que el juego llevara la cuenta de las variables específicas que os dejarán (o evitarán) entrar en ciertas rutas con ciertos chicos. Por lo tanto, no habríais podido disfrutar de las partes de la narrativa correcta en este nuevo capítulo. ¡Lo sentimos mucho, chicos! 😭

De nuevo, os explicaremos bien los pasos que deberéis seguir el mismo día de la actualización para poder reiniciar el juego desde cero y que, así, la información antigua que ha quedado guardada no os termine fastidiando la nueva partida.
