The Path 0.2 - Progress Report

Hello !

Damn I was so carried away in writing and rendering I forgot to post something. It's Tuesday today, let's make it the regular report day from now on so I don't forget.

Now lets talk about the game finally. Where the fuck are we goin' ?!

Well it's a fantasy story that starts simply with the usual tropes, lots of inspiration from Tolkien of course, witcher even JRPG's sometimes. But as we go along, the story will evolve into something heavily meta as you may have guessed from the old wizard Daz.

As for our main heroine and antagonist, like the last preview suggested, there is a duality within her she wasn't fully aware of. At first I wanted to do the regular boring demoness/succubi possession zzzzz.... SCRAPPED !

No I thought hard and came up with an idea that will build upon the meta story, I don't want to spoil the main antagonist too much but let's say she did not appreciate being updated by a grizzly old man.

All that makes me wonder if I should also scrap male protagonist choices because I have no use for Sigmund's future decisions anymore. The old Daz is the new support character and not just a spectator (he doesn't need choices, he knows exactly what to do).

That new idea has resolved all my problems on how to corrupt Svana. Corruption reasons are so stupid sometimes whereas this one you can choose not to have it. I mean she is a horny gal for sure but with a certain degree of restraint. The reasons she may be tempted to unleash that corruption is because it also comes with incredible powers... and also tainting that renders all those inhibitions moot.

For the gameplay mechanics, believe me I really want to go full roaming scenes, secret gallery, combat, etc.... I'm still a noob in coding, I'm learning something new everyday but it's still gibberish for me haha. 

Stuff like these will be implemented slowly as I learn them or get help so for now it is choices that will dictate the whole story. Very important ones to make sometimes for an expansive branching later on. It is possible to do the whole game with no sex.

What to expect in the future ? 

No rape ! No NTR ! No shy Onee-San (tentacles, maybe)

There will be a generic romantic side to the story with the characters you choose, or another side... in dark dungeons... with things. It's all on you. Duality.
